HELLO AND WELCOME!
If you like color, art, downtown living and you are open to sharing the space, this room might be perfect for you. Your private, king-bed room is maybe not huge but cozy. The white armoir (on the picture) would be for you. I would like to leave my belongings in the closet and on the shelves.
You can use the entire space and eventually an extra person could stay for extra charge.
Most probably one more person (could be me) would be staying in the second bedroom, so remember that you will be sharing the space with other(s). If you prefer to stay on your own, rent the entire place.
I am glad to help if you need information or tips on how to get around or what to do in Vancouver. I have an extra 2 bikes and you are welcome to use them since bicycle paths are great here and you can see a lot just biking around.
I am glad to offer you tea or coffee in the morning, the rest you will have to find in the store downstairs. There is a great Chinese market just below, which offers a big variety of yummy foods including sushi and dumplings. Next to it is an Italian restaurant, Starbucks and other coffee shops just across the street. I have a large balcony where you may find fresh tomatoes, parsley and green peas if you come before I eat them all. You are welcome to cook for yourself in my kitchen and use my spices.
LOCATION: The location is great: just in front of Stadium Sky-train (tube or subway) station, which means you can get here from the airport in about 45 minutes and save $35 on one way trip. If you are coming by car, I have a parking space for visitors. If you stay longer than 7 days, there will be a parking fee of $70/month.
AMENITIES: You are welcome to use the indoor pool, sauna, hot-tub, gym, and ping-pong table in the building. There is a large outside on the 3rd floor. The apartment has wireless internet. You can do your laundry using my in-suite washer & dryer, but please read the instructions first.
WHERE TO GO: You will be living 3 minutes away from Gastown, the historic part of Vancouver, where restaurants and bars are open until late. You will be at the gate of wonderful Chinatown and a few minutes walking distance from the business district. You are a 30 minute bus ride away from the mountains or the ferry terminal.
LANGUAGES: If you prefer to communicate in other languages, I also speak French, Polish, Spanish, Romanian, Hungarian, some Russian and German.
I have traveled to Asia, Europe and Africa, but I am always interested in your travel stories. I love meeting people and getting to know them.
If you play guitar, I would love you to play it.
My space is your space. You can use it is all except my bedroom.
Interaction with guests
I love talking to my gusts, I like kind and considerate people, who don't treat my place like a hotel. I would love you to feel at home and I would love to feel at home too.
International Village is becoming the Hart of Vancouver. It is located between two oldest parts of the city: Gastown and Chinatown. just 5 minutes away. The beautiful Chinese Garden is just one block away.
For many the T&T huge Chinese Market, just downstairs is an attraction. You can find there the biggest variety of seafood in town + most of the regular food products.
My place is just 3 minutes away from the Sky-Train Station, which means you can get to the Airport in 45 minutes for $4. On the way from the Airport you have to pay $9.75 thou.
There several buses one block away going to ferry terminal, UBC, beach, Stanley Park, North Vancouver etc.
No smoking at home, but eventually on the balcony.
You are welcome to cook, but also to clean after yourself. Please do not use the dishwasher for now.
Before doing your laundry ask me how to use the dryer. Well, the most important thing is not to overload the washing machine and to turn on the fun next to the dryer while using the dryer.
