We are a Montreal human rights professional and her three artistic teens, and whether you want a room for the night, or the whole place to yourselves for a week, you will fall in love with our:
Bright, colourful, third floor walk-up, with a private rooftop patio, and wood-lined boathouse-style room in the trees. Views to Mount Royal, a wooded refuge in the middle of the city, designed by the architect of NYC's Central Park.
Condo sits on a sleepy tree-lined street in one of Montreal’s most vibrant neighbourhoods, between Bernard and Van Horne Streets, Mile End and Park avenue; restos, cafes, fine food shops, parks and theatres at a stone's throw.
Planning a perfect night out is easy days, whatever your budget. Whether you want urban-chic like Les Enfants Terribles or L’Assomoir, Lester’s famous smoked meat, or sushi, you can follow it up with a show or repertoire film at the Outremont Theatre, a free tango lesson on a Sunday night in summer in St. Viateur park, or skate around the pond in winter.
We are steps from a bike sharing station, Outremont Metro stop, or the Parc bus lines that takes you straight to the Quartier des spectacles at Place des Arts, the downtown shopping district on Ste Catherine, Chinatown, Old Montreal or the Old Port.
Eating-in is a fun option when you have a fully equipped kitchen, including spice and tea shelves, and a sprawling wood island to spread your local wares, be it fruits from Parc avenue, world-class cheeses from Hamel’s at the Jean Talon farmer’s market, St. Viateur bagels, melt-in-your-mouth Rugelach from Cheskie’s Kosher bakery, or exotic ice creams from Bilboquet.
In the summer, enjoy your spread on your private rooftop oasis with a view. Watch the stars at night. You can even sleep outside, on the two sprawling couches. We often do.
Or you can sleep in the Boat-like cocoon-room on the roof.
There are three other functional bedrooms down below, two with double-beds, one with a single. Our wood-paneled bathroom has a sauna-feeling and a window into a dreamy back-patio urban vine-covered world.
In the winter, you can settle in front of a cozy fire in the wood-burning fireplace.
The house comes with a computer and wifi, which we use to watch our favourite TV shows, and books you are welcome to read during your stay.
Families with small children will enjoy the numerous parks in the area, especially the ones mid-block designed specifically for little people. There is a public pool down the street at John F. Kennedy Park. Just be aware we do have a lot of stairs, and no gates.
Fresh bedding and towels provided.
The apartment is just as described, on the top floor in a quiet road. It provided a perfect place to recover after a day in the city. The Metro was just a five minute walk away. We would be very happy to return to this apartment next time we are in Montreal.
Debbie was a great hostess. We were greeted with fresh bagels and cream cheese. She provided us with a list of local activities. The apartment was clean and had most of the comforts of home. It is very close to the bus stop and walking distance to the blue line of the metro. We would recommend this apartment to all of our friends and airbnb customers.
Notre première expérience avec Airbnb. Debbie nous a mis à l'aise avec sa simplicité. Bel appartement typique de ce quartier de Montréal, tranquille et métro à poximité.
I spent a winter week with my two sons in this great, clean appartment, close to a subway station.
First airbnb experience for Debbie. She did pretty well.
