Interaction with Guests
I greet all my guests to show them around and welcome them. I'm normally very close by or my mom is also in the area. My guest can always contact me with any questions or concerns.
We live in a very peaceful neighborhood. Our neighbors consist of young and elderly families. Almost every house has a dog and everyone is very sweet and helpful.
Our location is ideal for people who want to be downtown in half hour or out to the lake in 15 minutes. We are very central, there are bus stops right across the street and the Port Moody West Coast Express Station literally across from our house. This train takes you to Water Front Station (during peak hours) downtown in under half an hour.
Also. there is a 7eleven, Liquor Store, Subway, Tai food, Greek food, Persian food, Sushi, McDonald's 3 minutes walk and many more! There is a beautiful waterfront restaurant The Boathouse 6 minutes walk ideal for a posh dinner of seafood or steak. There are 2 lively pubs across the street-The Point (live music on weekends) and The Burrard Public House (dj's on weekends and great food). Both these are spaced 100 feet from each other and a 10-minute walk from our house. You can basically go out for food and drink on foot and walk back in minutes!
There is a lovely young couple living in the basement of the house so we ask that you are considerate about noise. Also due to the age and nature of the house the attic should be used with caution, no large groups (more than 10 people) should be up there at once.
We stayed at Marta's home for 6 days while visiting the BC area for the Fifa Women's World Cup. My family (6 people) and myself traveled from Bowling Green , Kentucky USA. Unfortunately we did not get to meet Marta because of several flight delays. But she took wonderful care of us by providing us with a beautiful and spacious living area. Marta was easily accessible by email if had any questions or concerns. We enjoyed several evenings on her large backyard patio. The location of her home was perfect for visiting the nearby water front and restaurant areas. We enjoyed our stay very much and highly recommend others to stay with her.
Marta & Family:
The six of us had a wonderful stay in your character home where we were well rested. The location is convenient and close to the park and water. The weather was the best we have ever experienced. There was lots of room for us to lounge and chat and wonder where you have been to collect those interesting things! Thank you for sharing your home!
It was a great place for our family holiday. The space may look tiny but don't let that fool you! It is extremely functional for a group and we had lots of space. We also loved the central location for the many places we went. Marta was great and helped make our stay easy and enjoyable.
Cozy small home, had enough space for 7 adults and two children which was great. Place is a great spot to start all kinds of adventures in the greater Vancouver area. Marta is a very lovely person and we enjoyed her support with our questions we had. We were surprised as sometimes the floor was shacking given to the train that passed the city every now and then.
The reservation was canceled 210 days before arrival. This is an automated posting.
About the Host, Marta
I am a world traveler with many stories and experiences and have recently moved to Vancouver to settle. I have many interests but I think what I monopolies my time with most is cooking, learning, the outdoors and art. I am a product designer and my husband is a chef, we spend a lot of time cooking and entertaining and generally keeping busy perfecting our home with D.I.Y. projects. We are both very easy going, hard working and simply, we're people people ;-)
