wonderful house with front porch close to New York city and beaches. close to all South Shore Long Island
Private room on second floor. Very comfortable bed. Room has 2 large windows. The house is 35 minutes by train to NYC. It is a ten minute walk to the train station (LIRR). JFK airport is a 25 minute drive as is Jones Beach. There are plenty of restaurants and shops in town. There is also a bus stop nearby about a five minute walk.

Interaction with Guests
I often share breakfast and cocktails with my guests
Staying with Carrie and her family has been delightful and fun. They are warm and engaging and easy to hang out with. The neighborhood has a quaint charm and beauty to it when it snows and the trees are covered.
Bottom line is I plan to stay there next time I travel.
Carrie was a personable, accommodating hostess, and the house was in a nice, quiet neighborhood with easy parking as described. I actually did not spend much time there as I arrived late and left early, but I appreciate her flexibility because my expected arrival time changed a couple times.
Carrie was very nice and welcoming. 10 minute safe walk from the LIRR station (though she said she'd have been happy to pick me up). Room was nice and quiet. Bed was comfortable. Wifi worked fine. I only stayed one night, and spent most of the evening finishing some work, but fit my needs exactly.
Carrie's place is so great that I would rather not say so and keep it my secret getaway from the City. The amenities are great--total privacy, 100% clean, etc. etc. Nothing I could contemplate complaining about. Most of all, Carrie and her fan are really welcoming and a lot of fun to hang out with--really feels like home. Thank you Carrie for taking me in and look forward to next time! My best, Michael.
Carrie was very friendly and accommodating. She accepted us on short notice and the neighborhood was nice.
Host made first time experience great, glad I choose this host. After arriving host and husband had alot in common. Will use this host and family next time for sure.
My host, Carrie, did make me feel very welcome. She was extremely nice, helpful and fun to chat with.
Unfortunately the room was not large and sunny as advertised, but dark and crowded. Carrie did say that she had tried unsuccessfully to alter this description which changed since her adult children returned home.
