Very nice house compared to the surrounding area houses we looked at. Unfortunately the weather did not cooperate with our stay. It's important if you are traveling with a toddler to have plenty of distractions as Waterville is a remote area of Kerry without much to do in the town itself with children. We left a few days early and came to an agreement with the host on the cost of heating oil which we found an expensive addition to what we believed was already a fair amount paid for the house.
The chocolate factory is a nice trip as is Derrynane beach if weather cooperates. This area has been hit extremely hard by the downturn in the real estate market and the tour buses come through quite a bit (we counted 50+ one day!)
The area is beautiful but if we returned it would be for a golf trip with friends.
