Overall Guest Satisfaction

  • Colleen is truly a gracious hostess. She was accommodating from the first contact and beyond the last, when she emailed to let us know we had left something and offered to send it to us. My husband and I stayed in the larger unit for 5 days and our daughter and boyfriend stay in the other apartment our final night. Both of the apartments are impeccably clean, tasteful designed and comfortable. The airbnb pictures don't really do the units justice, both units were more beautiful than the pictures. The beds were the most comfortable we had on our entire 3 weeks in Hawaii. The reviews prior to ours have waxed poetic about her breakfast and we are in agreement. Truly delicious. My husband is gluten-free, she didn't bat an eye, instead she produced the most amazing gluten-free coconut cinnamon muffins and later that week made homemade gf bread for his macadamia coconut french toast. She gave us the remainder of the loaf when we departed.

The only thing that I would mention is that the units are beneath Coleen's family residence and so you do hear normal family activity above you at night.

    Thank you Coleen for everything.

  • Our stay at Colleen's guest house was fantastic! She was so helpful in communicating with us before our trip and giving us great directions to get to her place. The breakfasts were fantastic and she was the perfect host!

  • Not only was Colleen's place clean, comfortable and exactly as written but Colleen went way above and beyond for us. We are not into technology and because of this had many issues with Airbnb to get verified. Colleen helped us throughout the whole process even calling and staying on the phone with them for over an hour! She also was flexible and creative with us in our solutions so that we had the perfect stay. She went way beyond I expected anyone to go. And she found our shirt left in the house and shipped it to us!! She got our preferences on snacks and coffee and was by far the hostess with the mostest!! I cannot say enough about her as she was beyond excellent. She should get 10 out of 5 stars!! And she kept in communication and answered everything promptly and with warmth and care. Wonderful experience. Thank you so much Colleen!!!

  • Colleen was delightful! When I made the initial reservation I mentioned that my husband and I would be spending our honeymoon in Kauai and when we arrived, there was a bottle of champagne waiting for us. Her breakfasts everyday were simply delicious and my husband, who is the pickiest eater I've ever met, said "Her french toast was the best he'd ever had." We were sad to go and say goodbye to Colleen, but we'll be back to stay again in the future. The room itself was also very comfortable and clean and I enjoyed soaking in the deep tub. It was nice to have the mini-fridge and microwave to enjoy leftovers later on. If you need a place to stay while visiting Kauai, stay with Colleen! You won't regret it!

  • I agree with all the other positive reviews here. My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our 5 night stay at Colleen's B&B. It is a very cozy and clean unit and feels very secluded. I liked the sense of feeling like we were local rather than at a hotel and yet had a place that was maintained and appointed as if it were a room at an upscale resort. We especially liked the comfortable bed, the daybed/couch and also the large bathtub.
It is a short drive to Kilauea and most of North Shore. We also drove down as far as Kapa'a/Wailua most days with no issues.
We would definitely look to stay here again the next time we find ourselves in Kauai!

    Aloha Hari,
I'm glad to see your stay was bespoke. It was a pleasure having you as our guests welcome your return!
All the Best for a Great New Year,

  • My wife, son and I had a wonderful time in Kauai, and Colleen's B&B was our refuge. She made us feel at home. She is very friendly and accomodating. The room - including each of the kitchen, bathroom - is apropriately and comfortably appointed. It was clean. The bed is comfortable, as is the daybed our son stayed on. We had just one breakfast, but it was fantastic - tasty and healthy. The separate entrance is nice, so we felt we were not on top of anyone and could get up early for a sunrise or come back late after dinner on the other side of he island. We would certainly return.

  • The B&B at Leialoha Ti was a wonderful place for our family of 3. Colleen was so warm and hospitable; and cooked us amazing breakfasts! Really quiet, really private base from which to explore Kauai!

  • Wow. What a place. I'm tempted not to say too much so that this place remains my little secret, but as all the other reviews rave about this place, I can't help but share. The place is comfortable and very relaxing and being on such beautiful grounds, with windows looking out on a beautiful garden, was so invigorating.

But really, what made this place stand out so much was Colleen. To say that she was accommodating and helpful would be a massive understatement. From the first email contact, to the day we said goodbye, Colleen was so incredibly kind, thoughtful and accommodating to me and my girlfriend. She helped us with planning a great trip, and was helpful and gracious without being the least bit overwhelming or in our faces.

Yes the breakfasts are as amazing as they look in the photos. You won't find such great quality breakfasts anywhere on the island. Also, the location is fantastic to explore so many parts of the island. It's a short drive to Kilauea and Hanalei and not too far from Kapa'a and Lihue. I can't say enough great things about our experience, so I'll stop here. Highly, highly recommended.

  • Colleen is a great host. She is very caring and has good ideas where to go and what to see. And her breakfast is just incredible and prepared with love. Here I had my best grapefruits ever – fresh from her garden! What else do you need for a perfect start to your day?!

Born and raised in Hawaii. Moved with my husband Gordon and two sons from the Island of Oahu to Kauai to escape all the societal ills that accompany an over populated paradise. Always loved Kauai and someday planned to move here and establish a bed and breakfast to share this wonderful place with visitors who want to experience the true Kauai Aloha! We are living the dream and would like to share it with visitors to our island.
