We had a wonderful week here and Colleen could not have been more helpful. She is so sweet! She gave us directions to all sorts of great places to eat, swim and visit. And she had guide books to Kauai that were very useful too. Her breakfasts were delicious, very filling and varied, and a very pleasing way to start the day. She was able to adapt to my wife's gluten-free preference easily. The apartment was clean, spacious and quiet, well away from built-up places and in lovely surroundings. The bed was huge and very comfortable, and the ensuite was good.
We stayed on the south coast last year so this time wanted to explore the north and Colleen's apartment was a great base for travelling around, and most places in the north and east of Kauai were easy to get to. Personally we found the north side so much more interesting, the beaches were fantastic and varied (Anahola was the best), and so much to explore! Great food nearby (check out the Healthy Hut, or the Bistro or Bakery in Kilauea, 2-3 minutes drive away; the Olympic Cafe in Kapaa serves the most amazing, huge delicious organic salads). The north side is so lush and verdant, courtesy of the lovely temperature and tropical showers, though we did not have any persistent rain. Good for rainbows and waterfalls!
We will be back, and would love to stay with Colleen again.
This is the nicest B&B I have ever stayed at - Colleen is absolutely the most kind, generous, respectful, practical and gracious hostess. The actual rooms are extremely clean and decorated exquisitely. The accommodations are very comfortable. There are mosquito screens on all the windows and doors. The bathroom is very spacious. There is plenty of space for clothing, etc. Anything you could possibly need is in the kitchen. Anything she does not have there, she is most likely willing to provide if she is able and if you ask. There is a personal parking spot. Colleen is very kind and unobtrusive. The breakfasts are delicious and filling! It was a special and happy surprise each day she showed up with her new menu. The location of the property is easy to find and in a very quiet place. All you can hear are the birds - perfect!
The B&B at Leialoha Ti was so peaceful and picture perfect. The grounds were very private and lush. The room was clean and comfortable. The bed was so cozy and we loved how it was pure darkness at night. We slept so well. The location is between Kapa'a and Hanalei so you will need to drive to most activities, but we liked being between those two so we could have freedom to choose the day's events at the last minute.
Colleen was a gracious host providing helpful information and scrumptious home prepared breakfasts each morning. Yummy and filling!
Also you can walk to a lovely beach called Rock Quarries beach, about a 20 minute walk.
I would highly recommend Colleen's B&B to anyone. Mahalo!
My boyfriend and I just spent a week at Leialoha Ti and had the most amazing time! Our room was lovely and spacious and the property is beautiful. Our host, Colleen, made us feel right at home. She was very responsive and easy to reach via text message. Every morning we were greeted with an amazing breakfast complete with fruit from her garden. She even mailed us a packet of Kauai visitor information before our trip!
The B&B is in a great location on the North Shore. It's a little remote from some of the bigger cities but that is just what we were looking for. The little towns of Kilauea and Hanalei are just down the road so there are plenty of great restaurants and shops nearby.
We just got back from our trip to Hawaii during which we stayed at Colleen's B&B. I took my 8 and 4 year old kids with me on this trip. My prior experience with B&Bs has always been good but since I never took the kids I wasn't sure what to expect. Colleen was very welcoming and kind. She made sure the kids' needs were met by giving us recommendations on what to do, where everything was and more importantly providing us with amazing breakfast. The kids went to bed every night looking forward to the breakfast next morning! I don't think I have ever had such great breakfast either.
The place is flawless. It has beautiful interior and very comfortable Everything from is well thought out for your comfort. There are candles, bath salt as well as beach towels and mats available for the adventures. It can accommodate couples for a romantic getaway or those with kids.
The outside space is very pretty and open. I enjoyed walking around and so did the kids. You can also park your car right outside the door and walk right in.
The location was superb. the beaches close to this area (all within minutes) were beautiful. We did a lot of things on this trip from zip-lining, kayaking, hiking to dolphin watching and snorkeling and we were able to get around very easily. We also went to a beautiful Luau. Most of these adventures that we picked were about 30-45 minutes of driving away. The road is very pretty and you can even spot a water fall here and there.
Overall I highly recommend Colleen's B&B for a relaxing and adventurers trip!
Thank you Colleen!
The place was great. It's located in the north shore and convenient to explore the whole island. There is a very nice beach nearby (20 minutes walk). The room is nice and comfy. She provided us with beach towels and chairs that were very useful. And the best part was the breakfast. Every morning she would prepare a delicious breakfast. I would defiantly recommend this place to anybody visiting Kauai

About the Host, Colleen
Born and raised in Hawaii. Moved with my husband Gordon and two sons from the Island of Oahu to Kauai to escape all the societal ills that accompany an over populated paradise. Always loved Kauai and someday planned to move here and establish a bed and breakfast to share this wonderful place with visitors who want to experience the true Kauai Aloha! We are living the dream and would like to share it with visitors to our island.
