About this listing
Half of a monumental house. Perfect for families and groups of friends. Spacious en suite rooms and first floor. With loggia and large garden! Station less than 300 metres. 7 minutes to Deventer. Beautiful area for walking and cycling. Welcome!
Our house, Villa Aberson, is a manufacturer villa dating from 1921 in the center of Olst. Exactly 90 years later we have restored it to its original state: A very fine house to live in.
Since the children have left the house it's much too big for the two of us. So be welcome!
We provide linen and towels and of course we prepare an excellent breakfast for you.
Please note that there is no kitchen available. However, there is the possibility to make coffee and tea.
The house has two large rooms and suite. The biggest one is your living room. High French doors give access to your own garden.
On the first floor there are three bedrooms, a back room and a spacious bathroom.
Interaction with Guests
We live on the other side of the villa and on the second floor. In the morning we will meet each other wenn we prepare a breakfast for you.
In the summer we can invite you to come and have a drink in the large garden at the rear of the villa. Near the stove, when it's too cold!
Olst is situated on the river the IJssel, just between Zwolle and Deventer. Our house is the villa of the former director of the Machinefabriek Aberson: Villa Aberson .
In the beautiful surroundings you can make long walks and cyclingtours. Some other suggestions: Kunstenlab and Food Dock in Deventer, the IJssellinie, Museum Fundatie in Zwolle and Wijhe, the Informationcenter of the river IJssel ... etc.
Train station of Olst is less than 300 metres away.
Other Things to Note
Too much to mention. Walk at least to Deventer. In 7 minutes the train will bring you back in Olst again. Or plan a visit to the famous museum Nijenhuis. In the evening you can enjoy your meal in restaurant the Veerhuys on walking distance.
Just have a nice stay in our house.
From May 7 - 8, 2016 the minimum stay is 1 night.
Hello, I'm Math.
We live in a large historical villa in the Netherlands. You can stay here for some nights. You will love it!!!
We prefer that you stay with us in the weekends. On weekdays is possible when we know it on time.
The last years we didn't had much time to travel because of the restauration of our house. We just toke the train or the airplane to visit a city for a couple of days. Berlin, Moscow, Madrid, Barcelona, Riga, Wrocław, Rome.... Some of our favorits.
But luckily our villa is almost finished. So last year we could travel through Macedonia. This spring was Romania our destination.....
By the way.... That's not an artist impression of me. My wife is still working on that one....
See you in our villa.
