The Space

Welcome to Waipouli Beach Resort! This brand new five-star resort with ocean front restaurant/bar and SPA on property is like no other on the beautiful island of Kauai. It is ideally located in Waipouli, in between the historical towns of Wailua and Kapaa which makes travel to the South Shore (Poipu) and the North Shore (Princeville and Hanalei) quite convenient.

This fourth, the top, floor condo is a penthouse unit with gorgeous Sleeping Giant Mountain, the landmark of Kauai, view.

The pool area is awesome - salt water pool with lazy river, slides, waterfalls, a cave, sandy kids pool, and 3 sand bottom jacuzzi.

There is a Safeway plaza right across the street featuring Starbucks, Organic Food Market, Hawaiian Ice Cream and more shops and some good restaurants, which is very convenient.

$12/day resort fee is payable directly to Waipouli Beach Resort upon arrival.

  • Very nice condo. Clean, and in great location. My wife and I enjoyed the pool and the restaurant. Check in was very easy. I would come back again.

  • The place was clean and beautiful! We loved the view of the mountains! No problems of any kind or surprises.

  • Wonderful condo. Complex is 6 years old and very well maintained. Digital locks made check in and out very simple. Pool, hot tubs and grills were all very good. Beach isn't too good but that was known before we reserved. Nice kitchen and bathrooms. High end appliances and finishes. Very well constructed and maintained. Still looks and feels new. Bedding and linens were also first rate. Right next to stairs for easy entry/exit, or you can walk down the hall to an elevator.
If I were going to Kauai again, I would stay in Lihue or Princeville. Kapaa is a dirty little beach town except this complex. View picture is a bit misleading. It only shows the mountain. You also get to look at the parking lot and a strip mall. Not a bad view but not what is advertised either.

  • Great experience. The condo is exactly like the photos! Resort's pool complex is outstanding and close to the ocean (which was a bit rough in December). Close proximity to both south and north shore activities and some nice restaurants nearby (Tiki Tacos is amazing).

  • Anna was great to work with, very cordial and professional. The reservations went very smoothly.

The Waipouli Beach Resort accommodations were both better, and worse than expected! The condo is really amazing. The kitchen, believe it or not, is even better than the photos. The refrigerator and dishwasher are amazing! We certainly had everything we needed.

The separate bedroom off of the living room was very nice. The floor plan is a little unique, but very nice. There was a tiny balcony off the dining area, only large enough to stand on - however, the view is just of the parking lot - this was worse than expected. There is a slightly larger balcony off the bedroom - large enough for 2 chairs. However, the view is mostly of the wall of the neighboring building, with a small sliver of a view into the pool courtyard. We had thought the views would be better.

The pool courtyard is surrounded by a gate that you enter a code to get into - it's a bit of a pain. The courtyard is beautiful, but the gate really impacts the feel and the view of it. The pool has 2 water slides that our entire family had a lot of fun on. However, the pool itself is quite cold. It is an incredible design with a "lazy river" complete with waterfalls - but a bit hard to enjoy because of the temperature. There are several "adult only" sand bottom hot tubs, and one that can accommodate children, that is not as hot, to get warmed up in (we spent quite a bit of time here!) There is also a small sandy bottom "kiddie pool" but the water was so cold that our little ones never wanted to play here.

The beach is beautiful! Although, as we understand, not swimmable. The resort is within walking distance to many things including a Safeway directly across the street. There is an AMAZING trail right along the coast within about 1/2 mile from the resort - if you are into walking/running/biking - this is THE trail to do it on - breathtaking views!

I found it a little stressful to deal with the laundry requests for checkout. It was stressed that we could leave a maximum of 2 loads of laundry or we would be charged extra. And that we could leave laundry in the dryer. We used the pullout couch for our 2 daughters and had an early a.m. departure, so between our bed, and theirs I didn't know exactly what constituted 2 loads of laundry. I washed all the towels the night before, and then had to leave a load of bedding in the washer as opposed to the dryer because the washer wasn't done by the time we had to leave. I think it all worked out, it was just a little stressful.

Overall it was a very nice stay! Thank you Anna!
