Welcome to Rome!
Very spacious and sunny private bedroom in a large apartment shared with me. Short or long stays are welcome.
Please note that it's a SINGLE room that means it can accommodate JUST ONE PERSON (if you are 2 or more people, please don't send inquiries and don't book it... many thanks!).
The apt is located in the very center of Rome, right close to the wonderful S. Maria Maggiore Cathedral, 10 min walking distance from Colosseum. It's very well served by public transport and easily connected to every neighborhood. The central station (Termini) is just 10 min walking distance away and the subway stop ("A" line) is only 50 m (150 ft) away from the front door.
The room is totally furnished. It has a large bed and is equipped with air-conditioning. From the window you can enjoy the nice view on the largest square of Rome... the multi-ethnic piazza Vittorio!
The living room is a very large space where you can relax yourself, watch TV and receive friends.
The kitchen is available for you to use any time including cookware, plates, dishwasher, etc. You are welcome to keep things in the food pantry and refrigerator. Breakfast is NOT provided but free coffee and tea are always available: please help yourself whenever you like!
There are 1 toilet and 2 showers. The apt is cleaned by a house cleaner once a week. You'll receive clean towels and bedding when you check-in. If they need to be cleaned during your stay just let me know. You can find extra towels or bedding in your closet. You can use the washer for free. Utilities are included.
The apt is equipped with high speed internet wifi.
Every store you need is just within walking distance. You can find cafes, pubs, restaurants, deli, pizzerias, pharmacies, grocery stores, drugstores and ATM just a few meters away from the front door!
Have a nice stay in Rome!
Be clean, tidy and respectful... that's all!
This stay could not have been better! Everything was great. Location , big apt with a great kitchen, equipped for cooking, modern but really homey. I was there for over a month and it broke my heart to leave. Alessandro was a gracious and generous host. I will miss Roma in more ways than I can explain.
Roma! Ale was an excellent host, in good contact and available to provide any counsel needed. The room is huge, the apartment is gorgeous and in a great part of town. I loved being neighbors with the Colosseum. I didn't use the kitchen for anything besides making tea, but it was perfectly clean and well set-up. I loved staying there and would definitely return. Grazie!
Alessandro made me very welcome, he was understanding of my much later arrival due to flight delays. He went out of his way to help me including Taking me to the post office and assisting me with posting a parcel and making online bookings for the Vatican Museum, which saved me many hours of queuing in the cold. He had many resources, maps and guide books available, and also made some excellent recommendations as to restaurants. Alessandro was generous with his time and hospitality, he even remembered I did not drink coffee so bought me a delicious gift of a pistachio tiramisu. The apartment was warm, in an excellent location and has high speed internet accesss. This is an excellent place for a solo traveller in Rome to stay. I would happily return here.
Unfortunately, I did not get to meet Alessandro, he was out of town but his room-mate Gianpaulo, was there to meet me, give me the grand tour and the keys.
The apartment is ideally situated 10 mins walk from the Central train station and next to Vittorio Emanuele metro station which is seven stops from the Vatican. The Colosseum is only a ten minute walk and the Spanish steps/Trevi fountain neighbourhood is only 3 stops on the metro.
The apartment it self is a four bedroom/ two bath on the fifth floor with an elevator. As I said, Alessandro was away and Gianpaulo left the next morning, I had the place to myself for three days, I really felt I was living in Rome as opposed to a hotel room.
The Trevi fountain was under construction so I could not throw a coin in to hasten my return, but I will definitely be back to Rome and calling Alessandro for my room.
I rent out a large room in a spacious and sunny apartment located in the very center of Rome. The apartment is shared with me. Short or long stays are welcome. Very laid-back atmosphere. I'm a discreet and easygoing person and I'll be glad to help you to make your stay in Rome a very pleasant and comfortable experience... Just make it your home in Rome!
