The Space

Welcome to Rome!

Very spacious and sunny single bedroom in a large apartment. Short or long stays are welcome.
Please note that it's a single room that means it can accommodate just one person (if you are 2 or more people, please don't send inquiries and don't book it... many thanks!).

The apt is located in the very center of Rome, right close to the wonderful S. Maria Maggiore Cathedral, 10 min walking distance from Colosseum. It's very well served by public transport and easily connected to every neighborhood. The central station (Termini) is just 10 min walking distance away and the subway stop ("A" line) is only 50 m (150 ft) away from the front door.

The room is totally furnished. It has a large bed and is equipped with air-conditioning. From the window you can enjoy the nice view on the largest square of Rome... the multi-ethnic piazza Vittorio!

The living room is a very large space where you can relax yourself, watch TV and receive friends.

The kitchen is available for you to use any time including cookware, plates, dishwasher, etc. You are welcome to keep things in the food pantry and refrigerator. Free coffee and tea are always available, please help yourself whenever you like!

There are 1 toilet and 2 showers. The apt is cleaned by a house cleaner once a week. You'll receive clean towels and bedding when you check-in. If they need to be cleaned during your stay just let me know. You can find extra towels or bedding in your closet. You can use the washer for free. Utilities are included.

The apt is equipped with high speed internet wifi.

Every store you need is just within walking distance. You can find cafes, pubs, restaurants, deli, pizzerias, pharmacies, grocery stores, drugstores and ATM just a few meters away from the front door!

Have a nice stay in Rome!

  • Ale's place is a wonderful choice--great location, great space and great host! The apartment is VERY clean, beautiful and spacious. The location made it easy to walk to pretty much every sight I wanted to see plus there are lots of nice little cafes/bars and green spaces close by. And then Ale himself is kind, generous, attentive and very accommodating. If you're looking for the ideal place to stay in Rome and it's available, book this! You'll be happy you did. Thanks for everything, Ale.

  • Fabulous. Ale was charming to deal with - and very comfortable for the solo traveller. The apartment is good value, well stocked, and a great location.

  • Excellent location, a friendly and helpful host, and a very clean and comfortable home. I felt totally at ease at Alessandro's place. He consistently went out of his way to help me out - answering questions, assisting with tour bookings, and more. Couldn't recommend highly enough for your next trip to Rome.

  • I really enjoyed my stay with Alessandro in Rome. What I really liked was that he didn´t mind me coming and going at my leisure but was always ready to give tips or offer advice on where to eat, which tram to take or just to have a friendly chat in the kitchen over a cup of coffee. The flat is easy to locate, about 10 minutes on foot from Termini (turn left when you come out of the station!), is well situated opposite the Piazza Vittorio and has everything you need for a comfortable stay. Alessandro´s English is excellent - so there were no problems communicating. At the weekend the owners of the flat turned up for a few days in Rome and were also very friendly, but due to my non-existent Italian our communication was limited to nods and smiles! I was so pleased I´d booked all the entrance tickets to the sights online (Vatican Museums, Colosseum, Villa Borguese etc..)The queues everywhere were endless and Borguese was booked up till the next week. I hope I´ll be able to go back again soon and continue my Rome adventure and that I can stay with Alessandro again! It was a fabulous 5 days in Rome.

  • A wonderful place (email hidden)! Very nice and clean room and apartment. There was everything from free water bottle to welcome chocolates and coffee pot, from maps and leaflets to personal suggestions for good restaurants and bars by the host. Alex is (email hidden). Nothing else to add. I had a great time, felt very safe and warmly welcome.

  • Awesome location if you're in town to see the Roman ruins. The Colosseo and Forum are a 10-minute walk if you take the shortcut through the park. Location is a block from Metro. Felt safe walking around, even (email hidden) Alessandro is thoughtful, welcoming and helpful. Accommodations are very comfortable. Massive room with bed, couch and desk at the window, which was nice to open during the evenings. Shower and bathroom were clean and comfortable as was the room.

  • Super clean and central apartment, just located a short walk from the central train station (Stazione Termini). The Metro is more or less next door, but you can also walk to many of the great sites in 5-15 min. The bedroom is big and bright with a nice view of the park Piazza Vittorio Emanuele II. Modern bathrooms and a well equipped kitchen.

Alessandro is friendly, gentle and helpful host ☺

For some reason the main light in my bedroom automatically was turned on in the middle of the night and it woke me up every night. Not sure why that was happening?

    Response from Alessandro:

The problem reported by Sølvi sounds very strange and it's the first time I hear something like that... I checked the switch and it perfectly works... I have also spent last night in the room just to see if actually the light automatically turns on but nothing happened. Anyway this gives me the cue to remember to all guests to tell me immediatly if something is not working so I can fix it... please don't do it after you left!

  • I consider myself extremely lucky to have had Alessandro as my first Airbnb host. He was extraordinarily hospitable and friendly and patient with me - and answered all the many questions I asked him. And he went - in my opinion - above and beyond the call of duty for me. I had a problem with the timing of one of the tours that I had signed up for and paid. He volunteered to call them on my behalf to see if they could change my tour to a different date. Come to later find out that he had to visit their offices personally in order for them to agree to change the date and time. That anecdote says it all.

The apartment is situated on the edge of a park, about a 15 minute easy walk from Rome Termini station. There is a Metro B station halfway down the block. The Colosseum is about a 15 minute walk and Santa Maria Maggiore church is just a couple blocks away. His place is a large and my room was spacious. Alessandro has posted a guidebook online that lists about 4 or 5 nearby restaurants along with his description and review of the place. I visited most and found his guidebook extraordinarily helpful.

Overall: I could not have asked (email hidden) than Alessandro. Thank you Alessandro !!

  • This is (email hidden). I only have good things to say about Alessandro, and his apartment.
The area is good, walking distance to all the sights, a metro and busses on the corner, places to eat nearby, and very close to the charming area Monti.
The room is very nice, sunny, large and comfortable, with a nice view .You can use the kitchen and all the facilities, your own shower - toilet shared with Alessandro . Everything in the apartment is so clean and tidy. The bathrooms are new.
Alessandro is very nice and easy to talk to, he´s very warm and welcomming. He has ideas of what to see in Rome, have maps and info about Rome and the sights etc.
I Would definitely come back here, and I recommend you to book this place.
    Great Price too.

  • My stay at Alessandro's was nothing short of perfect. He has a beautiful apartment in a fantastic location, right across from a beautiful park with the Colosseum only a ten minute walk away and Santa Maria Maggiore a mere five minutes away. Alessandro (email hidden)--very accommodating and helpful! Since I was doing a lot of tours, he offered to print all of my vouchers, and I even found an Easter chocolate treat waiting for me on Easter Sunday :)
If you are looking for an amazing place to stay in Rome that has all the comforts of home, then I recommend staying here. I certainly know I will if/when I come back!
