Me and my wife stayed five nights in Ciara's beautiful house and we enjoyed it so much! It was exactly what we were looking for to forget work and the fast life in the city. We could walk to the National Park directly through the garden - what else could you ask for! Ciara offered tipps for walks around the area which we followed and enjoyed.
We had great weather but I'm sure the place is as much as beautiful without. Just take your rain jacket and enjoy the beautiful nature :)!
The house offered everything we needed for self-catering. There is a supermarket a few minutes away which offers the daily main demand. You can reach a Lidl in half an our by car as well.
Thank you, Ciara, for inviting us into your beautiful place! We would recommend it to anyone who is looking for recovery, silence and real nature!
My husband and I were heading to Dublin for a friend's wedding. Never having been to Ireland before, we decided to extend our trip and rent Ciara's cottage for five days while hiking in Glendalough. Everything about this decision was perfect. The cottage is even better that the pictures (though the pics are great). It is at the foothills of fantastic hikes -- no need to drive to trailheads. It's sweet and cozy, full of comfortable furniture, clawfoot tub, and beautiful details. The instructions on getting in, getting there, and how to use the space were perfect, clear, not over-demanding or under-explained. We decided to rent a car from Dublin, which was also a good choice, though we didn't use it too much because we could walk to both trails, markets, and restaurants. After 5 days we were sad to see the cottage go. Basically, yes, this is one of those places that makes me LOVE Air B&B.
Ciara was a very welcoming and friendly host, was always easy to contact for any queries so thanks for that! The cottage is lovely and really well connected to all the walks around Glendalough. It is a little chilly in the evening but as long as you've packed a warm jumper you'll be fine!
Location for a quiet weekend was just right, a stroll to local hotel for a drink and private location with real fire for cozy evening in. Wicklow as always was stunning and the cottage fits in just right.
A beautiful, isolated location. Excellent access to walks and sites in Glendalough.
What a fantastic, simple yet beautiful place. We wished we could have stayed for longer. The location is spectacular for walking and we felt right at home. Five out of five !
Had a fantastic time in Ciara place! A beautiful cottage and a beautiful location, couldn't ask for much more
