wonderful and rustic. amazing weather and I was able to complete all my walks of glendalough as well as part of the Wicklow way. thank you, it was the perfect break between sessions of camp.
The cottage in Glendalough is really idyllic. It was a privilege to stay a week in the cottage. The cottage is located in the national park of Glendalough, and it is possible to go on foot to the monastic city, only by crossing a river. Such a thing is realliy a privilege, especially when the visitors parking is full. We loved the cottage, it's really nice and comfy, and to be so close to all the beautiful walks in Glendalough was a marvellous experience, that for sure we will repeat. And although we didn't met Ciara she was always available on the phone for anything we needed.
I booked Ciaras cottage at short notice for a weekend away at a mountain biking event. The cottage was fantastic and other guests said they would certainly go back and use it as a base for exploring the mounatin biking trails in the area. There is a fantastic trail literally across the road from the cottage, and the view from the top of the mountain is worth the short hike up. Plenty of friendly bars locally, and some larger villages with all you could need for a weekend away within 20 mins by car.
The cottage is a truly amazing place. Would definitely recommend it to travelers staying in Glendalough/Wicklow. Historical sites, fantastic nature - it's all at your doorstep.
Beautiful cottage in a beautiful setting. I would highly recommend this to anyone wanting a break in the wicklow mountains.
Such a beautiful experience! Cosy and warm in the middle of the Wicklow mountains. I came to relax and switch off from the world and that is exactly what happened. The area is stunning and quiet. The perfect getaway. Ciara made it easy with the instructions of how to use everything so no thought or stress was needed around that.
