We have built a house in Kampala for our annual stay in Kampala. If we do not, we offer it for rent.
The spacious living room has a large open kitchen.
The interior is complete and with two bedrooms and one and a half bathroom, you can comfortably stay with 4 persons. There is a 5th bed in the spacious living room.
We have a small garden and at the end of the day, while sitting on the veranda with a sun-downer, you can enjoy the view and urban sounds in the distance.
The whole complex consists of two houses and is completely fenced.
You will hardly suffer from power failures, because there is a backup system for electricity.
You can use the whole main-house and garden.
Your neighbors, within the walls, are Christine with her two children: Marvin and Gemmah and Mama Daisy and her two children: Daisy and Pius.
They all speak excellent English and can assist you when you have any questions.

Fabulous stay in Uganda. Carla is the best host you could wish for. Despite the fact that she is far from Uganda, she has always responded very swiftly to any enquiry or concern we may have had during our stay. Lovely property as well...it felt like home from day one! Thank you Carla
Carla's home was a haven from the hustle and bustle that is Kampala. I would strongly urge anyone visiting to use Carla's caretaker, Fred, for their airport pickup as it may be quite daunting to find the house even with the directions provided by Carla. Fred sa a very gracious and helpful gentlemen who bought us eggs, bread and oil for breakfast on our first day. The home is clean, has lukewarm water for showers,(fine for Uganda) excellent cooking facilities and two toilets and bathrooms. Everything you need to be self sufficient.
The neighbourhood is truly Ugandan in flavour and if you wish to have a trus Ugandan experience living among the locals, then this is the place for you.
The house was nice quiet and peaceful, it had everything i could ask for except bath towels. The neighbors inside the walls were respectful and polite, the neighborhood outside was acceptable as well. I was in and out most of the time but I feel anyone can have a nice time staying here, its close to town on a boda boda, avoid the taxis to come home use a Boda cause of Jam. Going to town in a taxi from the main road costs 1500ugs cheap and easy. Enjoy,Ricky
I live in this place for two months. And i was calling it home. It is a place that has a feeling of home one you enter the gates. It is the best environment to live for the ones who are working in crazy busy Kampala city. It just 15 min by boda boda from the city center but it feels like you would be in up country. It is peaceful and you can enjoy the fresh breeze that is hard to find in the city. The house is modern and well equipped. Carla even being far away took care of everything i needed, probably that just adds to the feeling of home :)
Carla has been incredibly helpful and we recommend her as a host.
