We spent four nights at Cesars place in June 2015.
Cesar met us outside the building, and showed us around, gave us useful information and was very friendly.
The apartment has all the home comforts you could need, is airy and spacious, very stylishly furnished and has views across the city.
It is perfectly located within walking distance of all the central sights and transport links - in fact we did not even need to use transport to see anything - except for a day trip to Matosinhos.
Even the Rua dos Caldeireiros where the room is located has a combination of "Old Porto" restaurants and inhabitants, with modern additions, and is well worth checking out for a more authentic feel than the quayside.
César's flat is beautiful, even better than in the pictures. He's an incredibly friendly and helpful guy, and gave us all the information we needed about the flat and the area. He owns and works in the bistro below, and very kindly offered help with anything if we needed it, but the flat was so great and well located that we didn't need to take him up on his offer. It was impeccably clean, had a really well-equipped kitchen, fantastic views over the city, and even stayed cool in the blistering heat!
We can't recommend César's flat highly enough, and hope to stay there again - thanks César!
We spent 3 nights in cesar's place, and that was a great experience. Quite cheap for such a central location, nicely decorated and large enough for us 2 only.
César works just down the apartment and welcome us just as if we were friends.
We will definitely stay there again if we ever get back to Porto city!
César's apartment is absolutely fantastic, very true to the photos and in an excellent location. I would just say that it's at the top of the city, and by that I mean the top of the hill- quite a hike to get home from the river, but good exercise! There are great restaurants in the area, and it is close to basically everything. I would highly recommend staying here!
What a beautiful apartment, and in such a perfect location for exploring the wonderful city of Porto.
Cesar was a great host, in touch before we arrived and flexible with our arrival time. He gave us a detailed tour / instructions upon our arrival. Everything went well while we were there so we didn't need to call for his help, but the offer was there if we needed it.
The apartment itself is very spacious and has everything you need for a very relaxing and comfortable stay. The view from the living room is wonderful, looking out across the city.
Thank you very much - we will definitely recommend to any friends visiting the city.
César's apartment is absolutely beautiful and perfectly located in the heart of Porto's historic centre. The apartment had everything you could need and was very clean. César welcomed us and made us feel at home.
César was a wonderful host. The apartment was much larger than we had anticipated and the view of Porto was spectacular.
Located on a quiet street near many restaurants and shops, this minimalistic home had all the amenities we needed included a washing machine. The café at the bottom of the building owned by César and his partner comes highly recommended as well. The food is some of the best you will find in Porto, made from locally sourced products. The service style is discrete and professional, and the wines are made specifically for this establishment.
The location was excellent. A short walk down to the river where you can catch a street car to the beach, or head in the other direction and you'll walk for 15 or so minutes to downtown Porto. There is also a train station 5 minutes from the apartment - it connects to the airport and there are always attendants helping you get to where you need to go.
César was gratious and helped us arrange for a taxi to the airport for our very early flight as we did not have cell phones.
I would very much recommend César's apartment and we hope to stay there when we make it back to Portugal next year.
