  • It was a good place to stay in Brisbane, convenient location and modern inside, and the host, Jen was a kind person. It was sad we could not use the pool because of the weather, but I had a very comfortable and tiny bed + nice private outdoor area.
I felt like I was staying my home. A little bit noisy Sat. night because cafe and pubs are close from the house, but Sun. Mon. was nice and quite.

  • We didn't actually meet Anthony, but we met Jen and she was lovely. We thought the place was a in a great location, right next to Suncorp stadium and walking distance to everything including Caxton Street. The place was gorgeous and clean. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! Thanks.

  • Good location e parking free. We stay downstairs. The only problems was been with the shower because if there are more guests the bath due to water loss become unconfortable and the sofa it seem was broken. Beds were good.

  • We had an excellent 3 day stay; Jenny was super friendly and helpful, and the place was modern perfectly clean. Highly recommended.

  • We stayed in room 2, there are no lock in this room.
If you need privacy, this is not for you.
The door knot is loose and faulty, we need to turn at least couple of times before it can open.

The bed make some noise when turning, slight shaky and mattress is very soft.
The pool filter is just outside the window, those who noise sensitive may want to skip this room.

There is no mirror in the room, as there is only one shared bathroom. Ladies who need to put on makeup, may need to wait for quite awhile when someone is using the bathroom, especially when there is 3 person staying the next room. There are no shower screen or shower curtain, so after every shower, you will need to dry up the floor...

Towels were provided but no shower gel and shampoo.
As we will be in Australia for 2 weeks and this is the only accommodation which don't provide, so we packed specially just for this 2 days.

We drove, and was given a permit to park free along the road side.
Beware to drive to other areas when there is football games, all road nearby will be closed and we had hard time coming back. We stuck on the road drive merry go round for an hour. Only managed to reach home around 10.45pm when they reopen all the roads.

We had feedback to Anthony next day and was told just to let them know we are staying inside and the police will let us in. This was not advised earlier and we dare not try again next day so no comments on that.

Location is 5 mins walk to cinemas, supermarket and cafes.
20 mins walk to Queen St, 30 mins walk to Southbank Parklane.
From the house, there are a very steep slop (150-200m) to the main amenities.
Good for those who want to stay close to the suncorp stadium.

We (my mother and I) stayed for 2 days, overall nice host.
    Very basic room.

    Response from Anthony:

Jordan just to respond to your comments. There are no locks on any bedrooms including mine. No one goes into your rooms when you are there.
You can have as much privacy as you yourself require.
With regard to the bed you were in. It is in fact a medium mattress. Obviously we can not cater to everyone's taste in mattresses. There is a shower screen last time which is made of glass. If you have a look at the photos of the bathroom it is very obvious. I don't know how you could have missed it. Yes some water gets on the floor and the amount would depend on how an individual has a shower. This is why we provide bath mats for your use. Jordan we are not a motel and there is nowhere where we say we provide your toiletries .
When you stay with AIRBNB hosts you must realise you are staying in their home. Maybe you should reconsider if this type of accommodation suits your needs.
Jordan it was unfortunate that you were out driving when there was a game on at the stadium. If I knew that you were going out driving I would have informed you. There was no game on the next day so it would not have been a problem.
Better communication from yourself throughout your stay may have improved your own outcome.

  • Anthony's place was comfortable and clean. Great proximity to the Barracks with loads of restaurants, cinema, bars, supermarket, etc.

  • Anthony Gillman's inner city home in Brisbane is a great place to stay. The accommodation is superior, clean and very comfortable. The recently renovated living and kitchen areas are available for guest use. The house has a deep, cool, long, clean swimming pool, which, considering the heat of Brisbane, is a welcome way to start or finish your day. We needed parking close by and were provided with a visitor parking voucher so we could park across the road from the house for our entire visit of 3 days. The house is situated in a very convenient location to the city centre and to public transport. There is a Coles supermarket and a variety of restaurants and cafes very close by. Anthony and his manager Jen made our stay very enjoyable indeed.

  • It was a great stay. The house is awesome! Everthing is clean and well maintained. Unfortunately we did not get to use the pool, but it looked great :). We really can't say anything negativ about it.
The location is absolutly great as well. 10min walk to Roma Station and 20min walk to the heart of the city.
It's well worth the money. Thank you very much for this stay.

  • Had a great time at Anthony's place. Very good location close to the CBD, South Bank and of course Suncorp Stadium. Our room was nicely furnished and we enjoyed spending time at the deck very much. Check-in etc. were very smooth and Jenn recommended some great places to eat at. Would definitely stay there again.

  • We enjoyed two lovely days in Brisbane :) Our three boys enjoyed the pool and the free internet and we all had a lovely time in Anthony and Sam´s house :)
The reason we chose to stay at an Airbnb, was though in order to meet and get to know some Australien people - other than those whose job is to be kind to you ;) (people who work at hotels) When we arrived we found out that Anthony and Samantha don´t live in the house, but that a lovely young woman called Jenn is taking care of the house and guests. This was a little dissapointing, not being able to experience the daily life in an Australian family/home. This had though nothing to do with Jenn, who was very kind, helpful and perfect in every way :) We had just expected something else. We did though get to meet Anthony and Sam on our way out the door, and they were very friendly, helpful and lovely people :) Dear Anthony, Sam and Jenn - thank you for two lovely days :D
