My name is Blake and I am available for assistance and advice directly or by phone day or night. You may have as much or as little contact as you wish throughout your stay. That is entirely up to you and no offense is taken from those who prefer a more private stay.
Within a 200m radius you have at your disposal: Over half a dozen bars including Lefty's Old Time Music Hall, many restaurants that offer Thai, Indian, Mexican, German, Seafood and more. Palace Cinemas, Coles Supermarket and a mall with numerous shops.
150 metres from buses that will take you into the heart of the city and further if you desire.
600 metres to Roma St Train Station where you may catch a train to any area of Greater Brisbane, Gold Coast, Sunshine Coast or Ipswich.
10-15 minute walk to the centre of Brisbane CBD.
You can have a house key when you check in so are free to come and go as you please, but please be considerate of the other guests.
The owner of the house is often not at home as he works away which is where I come in. My name is Blake and I am the 'live-in caretaker' of the home. I will be handling your check-in/out and any inquiries that you have throughout your stay. I am happy to recommend local places to eat or get a drink as there are many within the vicinity.
A few days before your check-in you will be notified of the details of your stay along with directions to the home. We are flexible about check in and check out times, just let us know what your needs are and we'll do our best to look after you.
No smokers please.
Great local within walking distance of the CBD. Friendly welcome and good facilities. Easy car parking too! which is a charm for Brisbane.

Blake who is the live in caretaker was attentive to my requests. The house is kept clean and tidy. Set in a quiet location just off the city and only a 5 min walk to a hub of restaurants and pubs. It was convenient for my stay. Would recommend it...
This place is essentially hostel living.
Though reasonably priced, it is a little misadvertised. We were lead to believe we would have an upstairs room of this 'stunning inner city living' instead we had a downstairs room with a shared bathroom.
Regarding the 'stunning inner city living' - certainly the house is close to the city with a 20min walk to the centre of town and close proximity to south bank. However, 'stunning' is a bit misleading. The professional advertising photos may have shown the flat when new but now the living spaces feel unkempt and poorly maintained. The downstairs bathroom, though appears modern, has some broken fixtures including lighting, shower head and toilet seat. Our room had thin curtains which could be seen through at night.
Another disappointment was our arrival. We weren't greeted to the house at any point during our 3 night stay, and although we were invited by email to read the 'house rules' prior to our arrival, these were nowhere to be found. This resulted in us almost getting a parking ticket, as we didn't realise you need a permit to park on the street (they do however provide a permit if you need one).
Finally the owner of this property was willing to imply that the parking issue was our fault and sent us a message to that effect. We never met him at any point, nor his wife Elizabeth who he claims is the host when he is away.
Overall his place was disappointing.
Thank you for your feedback Joshua as we are always looking to improve our services but to compare this million dollar home to a hostel is quite insulting.
As far as the room that you were given: the previous guest in that room required the larger room because of the extra bed. Before their checkout we had another guest book, so we had no other choice but to put the new guest upstairs. They were still here, in the upstairs room when you arrived. We are not at liberty to ask them to move halfway through their stay because you were lead to believe that you had 'dibs' on the upstairs room. Everyone at our BnB is treated equally.
If you can be more specific in which areas of the house are 'unkempt and poorly maintained' that would be great. As already mentioned we welcome any justified negative feedback to help us improve it for future guests. Thank you for being the first to point out that the showerhead, toilet and lighting downstairs is broken because we haven't been told thus far. I will get onto it first thing in the morning. If you are disappointed that you had a shared bathroom I will gladly view any 4 bedroom homes that luxuriously have 4 bathrooms. As already mentioned everyone at our BnB is treated equally. So is it fair that one guest gets a private bathroom but others have to share?
As far as the parking goes, myself as the caretaker accept full responsibility and NEVER was it mentioned that this was in any way your fault. If you would take some time to check your phone messages you will find an SMS from myself and I quote "If you were to get a parking fine in that time without the permit I would gladly pay it for you". The house rules were taken out of your room because they needed to be re-typed to include myself as the new care-taker. I apologized for this inconvenience then and I apologize for it again now. Once I was made aware of this over the phone you were immediately directed to where the parking permits were kept so that no fine was incurred.
Just a side note though for any of your future travels: In Australia all areas close to any major city centre are restrictive parking. The signs do require examination. But again, I take full responsibility for not leaving the house rules out for you to see this information.
As the new caretaker/housemate I sincerely thank you for your feedback as I am still learning the ropes and any feedback is welcome to help me improve the service I can provide for future guests.
Very comfortable and spacious for inner city apartment living.
Well appointed and very tidy.
Quiet area with ready access to eateries and entertainment, public transport etc.
Eh....we spend 1-1.5 hours to find this apartment.
not very near to city for us because we are not familiar with the location and we are not driving neither. overall stay is quit present just that this house is still under construction when we are there. Was surprise that the photo and the real house looks so different. Quit sad of the pool because is not well maintain.
Lim you had good directions to get to the house. Everyone else has no problems. You were just up the road 500m from the house and it took you 1 hour to walk. You also wanted Elizabeth to pick you up. The house is only 2km from the city very very close. The house is not under construction. It was just having some repairs done from a big storm that we had a month ago. The house is exactly like the photos other guests say it is the same so i doint know what you are talking about.
