After a full day's outing, you can return home and relax in a private, quiet, stylish environment that feels more "country" than "city" and has all the amenities of home.
Don’t like walking, no problem because we are so close to Centro, there are three buses that go up and down the hill for 5 pesos each way (about 40 cents). Taxis, no problem, they abound for about 25 to 30 pesos.
Should you decide to drive or rent a vehicle, there is a secure parking space available for your vehicle. A dog will be considered based on size and breed and your plans for taking your dog out.
I have chosen San Miguel as my home. It is a wonderful, culturally rich and diverse tourist destination and also has a large expat community. El Paraiso, located next to el Centro is the community I choose to live in because it is quieter and less polluted than El Centro. I enjoy living closer to nature, yet near to the action of the center of town. This location makes it possible to walk into the center for concerts and restaurants or the famous Tuesday market or over to the big, open mall for movies, shopping, and a full supermarket
The Unique Benefits of this Apartment

Owner is normally available to help you make the most of your visit and to help settle in, answer questions about the apartment and also to provide advice and information on local restaurants, transportation, amenities, activities, events, etc.

Lin is an exceedingly gracious host, who works very hard to ensure guests get orientated to San Miguel, its numerous opportunities, as well as to enjoy her home. Her home is beautiful and exactly as described. The first floor is very spacious with a beautiful patio to have morning coffee and listen to the birds sing. The location is geared to those who like to walk...it is ~15-20 minute walk to the jardin, however those who prefer not to, can easily take the bus 1/2 block away. Buses arrive every 5 mins or so - far better schedules than what we have in Boston! Soriana shopping center is a 7 mins walk; and the large Tuesday Market also ~15 mins walk. My husband and I like to walk, so we enjoyed this. However, I would be sure to ask about the status of the house construction that commenced immediately next door to the house. We had three saturday's of some considerable noise and left the house on day trips. During those times, the doors to the patio were not able to be open and it was rather noisy inside as the house walls are built immediately next to each other similar to brownstones in large cities. The upstairs unit does not seem to be as affected. It also depends upon what your own tolerance is for noise and what you want to experience in San Miguel. This is Mexico, and the construction schedule may be unknown or irregular. This should not dissuade anyone from renting; just to be informed. Lin's place is beautiful and we immensely enjoyed our stay.
We had a wonderful time staying at Casa Cupula de Cobre. It is very convenient to get to the center of town by walking, bus, or taxi. We enjoyed leaving the commotion of El Centro and coming home to this modern, tastefully decorated, and comfortable apartment in El Paraiso. We especially loved the fireplace! Lin is a gracious host and was very supportive and attentive to making our time in San Miguel most enjoyable. We would highly recommend Casa Cupula de Cobre to anyone going to San Miguel de Allende.
Hi guys, glad you made it home safe and sound. Thanks for staying, it was my pleasure to have you. As we discussed, I have managed (ya I know, it was after you left) to locate and purchase a second cozy robe for my guests to use in the house, too bad I did not locate it for this visit, but perhaps for another visit,
Safe journeys to you both!!
We have stayed in 10+ Airbnb properties around the world and our stay with Lin at Casa cupula de cobre was by far the best. We had a wonderful experience in a very, very nice apartment with a very friendly and accommodating host. Lin was always available to help with directions, history and tourism which made moving about San Miguel much easier and our stay more enjoyable than expected. The apartment was very modern, clean and accessible. We spent time lounging in the garden or walking the neighborhood or just relaxing. I recommend staying with Lin at Casa cupulo de cobre for a great vacaction in San Miguel de Allende.
Great to have you, you were both terrific guests and so open to explore and try new things. As you know I love Mexico, and specifically, I loved sharing my experiences with the two of you. Can't wait for the repeat opportunity
Take care, and stay out of the rain in Seattle!
This house absolutely meets expectations, and Lin does a great job as a host. The house is extremely clean and safe! You have all the conveniences of home (internet, TV, kitchen, access to public transportation, etc.) while being able to have a classic Mexican experience. The taxis know exactly how to get you back to her home, and very quickly might add - all for about $3 to $4 USD! Lin is extemely respectful. You have privacy, and the freedom to come and go as you please. She is also very responsive. She makes every effort to ensure that you are comfortable and have everything that you need. The house is located at the entrance of the city.
Absolutely lovely house, and Lin, our hostess, could not have been nicer. She drove us to the supermercado, loaned us olive oil, and was generally more like a local pal than a landlady. It's a steep hike to the bus stop (and at 7000 feet we were gasping!), and that low trundle bed (for guest #4) can be challenging if your back isn't 100%, but aside from these quibbles we loved it. Thank you Lin!
Great to have all of you. When I designed the Fredia room with the trundle bed (two singles), the consensus from everyone was that that configuration was more flexible. I will talk to my carpenter to see if it can be put on some kind of pop up legs to raise that bed when it is used. Challenges, what life is made of!!
