We felt at home instantly with the house. It is very homely and exactly as described. We were out a lot but still enjoyed a couple of bbq's cause we liked to enjoy the house rather than go out in the town. Tina was very helpful and always answered any questions quickly.
The house was very close to the main street and the marina and also to the beautiful 4 mile beach.
Overall a great experience and highly recommended
We have been regular visitors to the Port Douglas region for many years and tried many local accommodation options. The Artist's Tree House has been our favourite stay out of all of them. The relaxed shack-style nature of the house and the furnishings really suited our family. For the first time we did not hire a car, but bikes with a kids trailer, simply because the house is only a few hundred meters from the main shopping street. The house has a few units at the rear however we hardly noticed so no issues there. Tina was a great host in that she was supportive when we needed it. (Tina we simply have no clues on the location of the TV remote - sorry. I will be in touch this weekend. Was hoping you might have found it by now??) Kate and Eric
We had a lovely stay at the tree house with our family. The house is unique and beautiful and the lush surrounds were lovely.
The house is a nice walk to the nearby four mile beach, and not too far from the shops in town. There were lots of handy things at the house to make our trip enjoyable, like toys and and a highchair.
And Tina was really nice and was always helpful with any questions we had.
We enjoyed lazy evenings on the balcony overlooking the palm trees. And woke up to the sounds of the jungle... absolute paradise.
This is a great little place in the heart of Port Douglas. It is a bit like a private museum full of paintings, quotes, old-fashion lamps and colourful plates stuck on the wall. Nice to spend some time on the balcony, surrounded by coconut trees and looking at the fruit bats hanging on big gums across the road. Quite, relaxing and very close to the centre of town. And the pool is so refreshing after a sticky day! Only downside is the lack of cooking utensils when you stay with a bigger family and wish to cook instead of eating out...
We had a wonderful and very memorable stay at The Artist's Tree House. It has a wonderful lay out that made it very comfortable for our family giving everyone their own space, but also lots of common areas to all congregate. The unique decorations and design made it extra special and fun to look around. We loved looking out into the trees and the warm breeze that travels through the house. The location was great allowing us to explore the lovely town of Port Douglas, four mile beach, the rainforest, and the great barrier reef! Port Douglas has a great feel to it, and I recommend it over Cairns if you are considering both, as it has a quaint small town feel and less of a big city vibe-but access to the same activities. Thank you for designing this unique house and opening it up for us to stay!
Fun and welcoming house, we felt at home as soon as we arrived. Highly recommended, thank you,Tina
