We had a pleasant stay at Alex's apartment. The location is beautiful, within 10 minutes walking you are right in the heart of Barcelona, and also the neighborhood is really welcoming.
Alex was a great host, we can definitely recommend a stay at his place and would love to come back one time!
Alex is an incredible host, very kind and easy going person. The apartment and bedroom were as described and offered even more of what I was expecting. My only concern was the noise at night during weekends, but I guess you get used to it and adapt. The apartment is conveniently located. I would recommend this apartment to everyone!
Alex's place was in a very cool location, close to the metro, and Alex was a great host. Very helpful advice about the area, and very generous with the use of his apartment. The city is amazing and I would absolutely pick Alex's place again for a future stay. Thanks Alex!
I stayed with my partner in one of Alex's rooms in his flat, located in the heart of the old town. The apartment is beautifully presented, and our room was spacious and calm with a nice double bed. The only slight issue at some moments was street noise / cleaning, but it wasn't a big issue for us at all.
The flat is near all the sites of Barca, and if you're not sure where to go, Alex, who was very warm and welcoming, has all the best recommendations, especially for restaurants. I would recommend Alex's place to anybody.
Alex's flat is very nice and in a very lively neighborhood, in Barcelona. If you want to really live the city's heart, that's the place to go!
Alex is really good at making you feel at home so you'll really like your stay!
Alex apartment is central to many "must see" sights in Barcelona. Easy walk to Las Rambles, the Cathedral, Gothic quarter, etc. Apartment room was big enough and clean; with large bathroom too use, kitchen, and living room. Alex is a super host and he helped us make plans for sight seeing. Plus he offered us fruit and juices for breakfast or any time. Although no AC, he provided a fan to use and it was fine for us. Enjoyed our stay very much.
The reservation was canceled the day before arrival. This is an automated posting.
We really enjoyed our stay with Alex near Rambla del Raval! Although we arrived late from the airport, Alex was waiting to greet us and welcomed us to his beautiful clean apartment. We rented both adjoining rooms which each feature a balcony overlooking the activities outside. We were pleased to be able to use his washer that night. In the morning he had some fresh bread, Nutella, and fruit that we enjoyed when we finally woke up.
The apartment overlooks a vibrant area with a modern hotel, tapas bars, coffee and pastry restaurants. It was an easy walk to the Rambla, the cruise port, and many beautiful areas of the city. There is a taxi stand outside, and the metro is a couple of blocks away. We were there a total of three nights, and we were amazed at how active the city is, even very late at night.
The first night there was a music festival, and the second two nights fell during the UEFA soccer cup. We kept the balcony doors open to allow a cooling breeze, but it definitely got loud at night. As a matter of fact, it really got loud around 2 am each night, with singing, drumming, and laughter providing white background noise. The only thing that really woke us up was the arrival of the police for a lady that was yelling incoherently. I believe it was louder than what would be typical, because of the music festival and soccer celebrations. It was very quiet by the morning when we left around 8 am!
It was a pleasure to meet our host Alex and to enjoy the beautiful apartment and Barcelona. We had a wonderful trip.
The room I had was lovely with my own (tiny) balcony and plenty of room. Alex was very helpful with good advice when I arrived and he gave me free reign of his home...kitchen, bathroom, lounge etc. The only thing is that as it was quite warm it would have been good to have a fan to use at night, especially since you need to keep the doors closed because of the street noise. Never the less, I enjoyed staying Alex's home and he was a great host. I would recommend Alex as a host. He is great and his home is also in a good location which helps too.
