Amy (the caretaker on site) was helpful, available, and friendly. The home was comfortable, rooms are small, but functional. Pretty much everything you need is available to use in a communal setting (minus say beach gear). The home also has a great cat, so you should like cats. He is affectionate, so give him (or her?) some love.
Oh- as probably noted in the description, it is far from town (5/6 miles), but a bus is available at times for $2 each way, or you can hoof it if you don't have a rental car.
Spacious house pretty close to Hilo~ really sweet porch and kitty. It was a good base for doing things in the Hilo area! 3 Mahalo
The house was nice but not very clean and the mattress was too wide for the loft which caused it to buckle. I did bring these things to Loren's attention and feedback was well received. Hopefully it will be sorted out. Other than those two things we did enjoy our short stay.
The accommodations were what I expected based on the description. Staying at the house was a fun, interesting experience.
