Marshall OverNight Stays is a place we'd like to stay when traveling. It's private, centrally located, secure, interesting to be in, and a place with open spaces to set travel bags. We enjoy having a private space when we get-away, so we do not enter the apartment for housekeeping, etc. while guests are there unless guests have requests.
MONS has the advantage of being right on Marshall's main street. So you can park your car (free, camera-monitored parking structure right next to our building ) and enjoy exploring this vibrant, historic small town. Built in1865 as the Perrin Bank , our corner building still has impressive features, such as 15 ft. ceilings and sand stone & limestone facade.
The OverNight Stay had the honor of being featured on the 49th Marshall Historic Home Tour in 2012, and our building's first floor was the featured business on the Marshall Historical Society's 50th Home Tour!! in Sept. 2013. After years of restoring it, we believe it is indeed one of the most beautiful businesses in Marshall.
It is next to a movie theater and a mediterranean restaurant, so good food and an inexpensive movie are right out your door. It's down the street from many shops and restaurants, including Schuler's, and a short walk to the now-famous Dark Horse Brewery...which is very convenient.
*This is a second floor accommodation. An outside stairway with a long flight of steps leads to a private balcony and the private suite.
*Locate on Marshall's bustling Michigan Ave.
*No TV/cable *No smoking *No pets
*Reserved for adults
The roof top garden on the back of the building is quite often available. Guests staying in the OverNight Stay may enjoy a summer nightcap there.
Our frame shop, Marshall Framing Studio, is located on the first floor. We welcome guests to stop in to ask questions about their visit to Marshall, and of course, to see our framing showroom.

this was our third visit to marshall and the second time staying at patrice and tim's lovely loft; both the loft and the town are becoming favorites of ours! a private place to stay (with room enough to spread out in) right in the center of town, and i'll just mention again that the bed and linens are so very comfortable. as in our first visit, patrice was flexible with timing and we appreciate that. we tried the restaurant right across the street, zarzuela, for carry-out tapas one night and had that with a bottle of wine on the tiny balcony/porch just overlooking the street. looking forward to the larger rooftop garden/patio in the back of the apartment if we return in summer time. we still have some restaurants/bars to explore in marshall, but the first thing we always want is a seat in the window, a dark horse amber (on tap), and an olive burger from copper's bar.
This adorable apartment above downtown Marshall, Michigan was perfect for me and my friends to stay. The rooms were very comfortable and beautifully decorated. Patrice was a wonderful and gracious host. This spot is walking distance to everything in Marshall. Definitely going to stay again next year if we can!
We really enjoyed your place, thank you!
a very enjoyable weekend get-away in this nice little town. we enjoyed the riverwalk and a tour of the dark horse brewery. patrice was accommodating and worked with our preferred time schedule for check-in and check-out, the apartment was very clean and interesting, with plenty of space. the little kitchen area has all the essentials (wine glasses, corkscrew, yummy baked goods, coffeepot and, as a tea-only drinker, i particularly appreciated having an electric kettle to prepare that properly). the bed in the main bedroom is very comfy, as are the linens and towels. one thing to note is that the shower is pretty...cozy....could be challenging for a "larger"person. but all in all, we are looking forward to a return trip!
Yes, the shower is small.
Even though this suite is large and seems to ramble on and on , unfortunately, with where the plumbing was, we were constrained to keeping the small shower unit.
Donna, We are glad you were able to enjoy the little extras and take in some of what this small historic town has to offer. We'd enjoy having you come back when ever you can.
We had a lovely stay at Patrice and Tim's. They were helpful and welcoming, and the apartment is comfortable and nicely decorated. The location is great and Marshall is a beautiful little town - we really enjoyed our time there.
My husband and I had a lovely weekend in Marshall. Our hosts were kind and friendly. They had fresh fruit (a luxury when you're traveling) and locally baked scones and muffins for us in the room. The loft is right in downtown and we found everything we wanted within walking distance. Even Dark Horse Brewing Co was walkable (about 15 minutes). I wish we could have stayed longer. We would stay again the next time we're in Marshall.
My partner and I came into Marshall for a friend's wedding and it was really nice to be able to stay on main street and enjoy all the restaurants, antique shops, and bars just a step away from the apartment. We don't like traveling with cars, so really this was the perfect place fo us. Patrice was very accommodating, as we needed an extra bed for only one night of our stay, and she was able to adjust the price for us easily. The unit is beautifully decorated and there was an awesome little scrap books about Brooks Appliances which resulted in a conversation with my parents about my grandmother working there. I had no idea she worked there! Also, that by "appliance" they meant "medical device" and that "rupture" is another word for "hernia." So I guess you could say I got my fun taste of Marshall history.
Great (email hidden)wntown Marshall is a great place to visit and enjoy antiques, good food, friendly atmosphere and the cleanest small town we've seen in years! Would highly recommend this location to all.
Patrice and Tim's home is as pleasant and interesting as they are. Each room is perfectly clean and nicely appointed with several pieces of interesting art from their framing shop downstairs. The historic building is conveniently located right on Marshall's main street and close to restaurants, shops, and so on. There is also a lovely roof top garden that would be a wonderful spot to share a bottle of wine after a day seeing the sites. I look forward to returning to this vibrant and quaint town and will certainly plan to stay here again!
Ezio, we were so glad you chose our OverNight Stays for your visit. Thank you for your kind words. What a pleasant surprise to find the space so clean and straightened up after you left . We hope you'll find the time to getaway again to refresh and refuel... and to enjoy a evening overlooking our small urban town from the rooftop garden.
