House was fine. tried to book for next year and she accepted our offer through her helper . She then decided to raise the nightly rate and blamed it on a mistake. I then asked to cancel and they wanted to charge me 50% fee for canceling. I would not rent from her again. This is dishonest and renters beware. She has multiple properties in this town and as far as I am concerned should not be allowed to conduct business in this manner.
You handled this in a totally inaccurate manner. I offered you a full refund, and then when you saw the 50% cancellation fee you freaked out. Had you contacted me I would have explained that I was going to give you a full refund, but you didn't offer that opportunity before threatening me with your lawyer, your CCard company, ABB involvement, turning me into the city, the chamber and more.
You are being completely unfair, since it appears you had a great time at the house and wanted to rebook the home for next year. Had I been available and not in remote Alaska (will limited phone/email), asking a friend to be available, I would have declined your request for next year based on the ABB rates being quoted weren't correct.
You also have a full year to find another more appropriately priced home for you holiday in 2016.

As always we had an amazing time! This house is close to the beach with awesome views and an easy walk to stores and restaurants. The house has everything you need and fit six of us comfortably. Tracey's homes are a favorite of ours!

Tracey is a pleasure to work , she responded to all my concerns ..and she make sure our stay was wonderful
The most welcoming thing was knowing that since there weren't immediate reservations coming we could stay later than 11 on Sunday. I was concerned about getting everything laundered and even took our own towels to save some time. The house was clean and as advertised. We found everything we needed including lots of kitchen equipment, a gas BBQ, and some good board games. We were very close to the beach and just a few short blocks to the main street. We were very comfortable. We appreciated the sheets and other amenities for dog owners.
Beautiful place and location! Tracy, as always, was a pleasure to work with and on point with all details!
Can't wait for next time!

About the Host, Tracey
I am originally from Alaska, where I grew up on an island in SE Alaska, aka the famous Inside Passage where all the cruise ships go...love cruising. That is probably where I got my itch to travel. There are only two ways off an island, boat or plane. Luckily those long dark winters give you lots of time to think of other places to be. So now, I am trying to get to all the ones I can remember, places others have recommended, and have found a few more destinations to add to the list.
I am now an Alaskan transplanted to the beautiful Oregon Coast for the past, wow 20+ years now. It reminds me of home, only with the benefits of cheaper airline tickets, and the ability to get in the car and drive more than 20 miles..on pavement too.
I have lived in Nehalem, Or for the past 20+ years and just love being on the Oregon coast. The Nehalem Bay area & N Oregon coast is an incredible place to live, for us lucky few, and to visit. There is great hiking, fishing, beach combing, restaurants, shopping, and tons more to do here all while having the stunning Pacific Ocean to the west and the Coastal Mnt Range to the east.
Loves to travel for new smells, sounds, food, people, and language. My favorite places include Palm Springs, Barbados, Vegas, and anywhere in France, Greece, or Spain and am adding Portugal (added June '14). Dying to go to Brazil, Maldives, Morocco, Istanbul, Dubai and_________ (fill in the blank).
