  • This was a fun getaway to the coast trip with some friends. Everything was as described and host was great about communication.

  • Excellent location and walking distance to a cute little string of shops..including a delicious coffee house. Beautiful views and very spacious beach house filled with all the extras that make your stay more comfortable. It was a rainy weekend, which, suprisingly, added a relaxing and mysterious vibe to the weekend.

This house is close to any and all things that you'd want to visit on the beautiful Oregon coast. We will definately be staying here again. I already miss it.

  • I stayed with 5 friends for a birthday beach trip and the house was perfect. It's right near the beach and coffee shops, and the kitchen is fully equipped for lots of cooking. Couldn't have asked for anything better!

  • The house was amazing. We had six people and had plenty of space to relax and enjoy ourselves. The location was perfect since we were right across the street from the beach with easy access to a foot trail and a 5 min walk to downtown. It was also very easy to work with Tracey. She was quick to answer any questions and made the process beyond easy. I will certainly look to stay in the house again, and would recommend it to anybody.

  • We all had a great stay.Wonderful view, even with winter storm weather-the house was warm, cozy tidy and spacious. When Tracy says the kitchen is well stocked, she is not kidding.Well managed, comfortable and we definitely want to return!

  • Great place! Tracey was so good to us reserving at the last minute. Manzanita is my favorite place on the Oregon Coast and we definitely look forward to returning in the future!

  • This is a nice place, very close to the beach and to the strip of shops in Manzanita. It has everything you'll probably need. Tracey was very easy to work with, making the check in and check out pretty seamless.

  • Clean, well stocked house in a great location! A hassle-free experience. Tracey was easy to work with and always very quick to respond!

  • The location of this home is ideal for access to the beach, walking to the small downtown area, and for star gazing. We really enjoyed relaxing on the balcony over looking the beach and watching the sunset. My only caution would be to those looking for a contemporary, up to date home, this is not the place for you. It's a comfortable home, but very dated. It is classic 1970's style with no updates. However, please note that all communication leading up to our arrival was seamless and the home was very easy to access.

  • The Lookout was a terrific house. The location is ideal. It is right across the street from the beach and an easy walk to the main drag with shops and restaurants. There's also a nice playground only two blocks away. The house itself was clean and well supplied. We had four adults and three children in the house and all were very comfortable. We're hoping to make it back next summer!

About
I am originally from Alaska, where I grew up on an island in SE Alaska, aka the famous Inside Passage. That is probably where I got my itch to travel. There are only two ways off an island, boat or plane. Luckily those long dark winters give you lots of time to think of other places to be. So now, I am trying to get to all the ones I can remember, places others have recommended, and have found a few more destinations to add to the list. I am now an Alaskan transplanted to the beautiful Oregon Coast for the past, wow 20+ years now. It reminds me of home, only with the benefits of cheaper airline tickets, and the ability to get in the car and drive more than 20 miles..on pavement too. I have lived in Nehalem, Or for the past 20 years and just love being on the Oregon coast. The Nehalem Bay area & N Oregon coast is an incredible place to live, for us lucky few, and to visit. There is great hiking, fishing, beach combing, restaurants, shopping, and tons more to do here all while having the stunning Pacific Ocean in the background. Loves to travel for new smells, sounds, food, people, and language. My favorite places include Palm Springs, Barbados, Vegas, and anywhere in France, Greece, or Spain. Dying to go to Brazil, Maldives, Morocco, Istanbul, Dubai and_________ (fill in the blank). "Like all great travelers, I have seen more than I remember, and remember more than I have seen."
