The Farmhouse Accomodation is a completely restored 60 sqm "Fienile" barnhouse. It is situated in the heart of the Chianti region in a dominant position on the Pieve di S. Stefano at Campoli (Ninth Century), and offers our guests a wonderful panoramic view. The farmhouse consists in five large, bright rooms: kitchen, two double bedrooms, and two bathrooms. The property is indipendent, giving the opportunity to enjoy wide spaces around the house. At about 20 km from Florence and 40 km from Siena, the farmhouse’s position is perfect to reach the most beautiful, cultural and gastronomic sites in the Tuscany region: San Gimignano, Volterra, Greve, Panzano and Montefioralle. Turists can join these places by car as well as by foot or bicycle, crossing woods, olive groves, vineyards, beautiful and characteristic places rich in history and culture.
Already the Etruscans settled in the territory around San Casciano, as archaeological excavations at Montefiridolfi (Tomb of Arciere) and Valigondoli (the site at Poggio La Croce) brought to light. In the Roman era there was an important post station, ten miles from Florence. The Chianti region is characteristic for fortified mediaeval castles, abbeys, churches and convents, most of them built during the 11th. Century: Church of Saint Stefano of Campoli, Church of Saint Pancrazio, Church of Saint Cecilia, Church of San Leonino and the museum of the sacred arts (San Casciano V.P. Impruneta). Last but not least, there are several cellars in the area, where the best wines of the Chianti (and others) as well as the most traditional dishes of the Tuscan kitchen can be tasted.
Outdoor activities: there are numerous tracks and trails for hiking and mountain biking, leading to some of the most beautiful villages in the Chianti. Only a few kilometers distant, in San Casciano Val di Pesa, there is a large swimming pool with panoramic view. It is open all day. Horse riding is available in Mercatale Val di Pesa, where expert help is at hand to plan and arrange pleasant treks throughout the Chianti region. At Tavarnelle Val di Pesa you can realize your dreams, making a trip in a Hot Air Balloon, enjoying high above the beautiful hills and landscape of Tuscany.

Stayed here for 3 nights and had a great trip. The house is located in the heart of the Tuscan wine country. Great setting amidst a working farm just 30 min to Florence and 40 to Siena or 10 min to Grieve in Chianti. Daniela and her family were very helpful in making dinner reservations at Cinque de Vino which turned out to be a great restaurant. Highly recommended.
Huge thanks to Daniela and her family for a wonderful holiday in her beautiful converted "fienile". The property was IDEAL for our small family of 4 (me, my wife and our two small children aged 3 and 1 yrs old) and everything we had hoped for; full of rustic charm, but with all the conveniences to be perfectly comfortable (washing machine, central heating, etc.). The location is particularly stunning as the little borgo is set well back from the main road amidst vineyards and olive groves, looking out to the west across the hills of Chianti. Perfectly silent and calm, yet fantastically positioned for exploring the main centres of cultural interest (i.e. Florence, Siena, San Gimignano, Panzano, Greve, etc. - all within easy driving distance). We all came away wishing we could have stayed longer.
Daniela was the perfect hostess, going out of her way to provide us with a cot for our youngest, as well as being kind enough to give us a bottle of her delicious wine and some home made jams - sadly neither of which lasted very long! We'll definitely come back here next time we come to the area, and absolutely recommend it to anyone else planning a similar trip. Grazie Daniela e famiglia per la vostra accoglienza!
What a beautiful place! Not far from the Florence's attractions still very quiet and cozy with only nightingales singing to ever bother you. The house itself has everything one can need; it's both functional and stylishly furnished with vintage things and sweet details.
Last but not least, Daniela and her family were nice and very welcoming. Daniela helped us discover some new delicious Tuscany cuisine with her dinner and the best ever homemade apricot jam as well.:)
To sum up: highly recommended!
