Mathilde's apartment is top notch! Eventhough we didn't meet her, the communication and instructions more than made up for it. Bed is comfortable, kitchen has enough amenities, and location can't be beat! Also the distance to Eiffel tower and line 8 can't be beat! I would recommend this apartment to anyone. If you're staying in Paris and want to be in between all the action and soak up the Parisian experience then this is the place to be!
Mathildes apartment is absolutely fantastic! We stayed for 2 nights and found the apartment at a perfect location and stunningly beautiful! LOVED LOVED LOVED everything about it! Made us both want to stay in Paris for a lot longer (indefinitely hehe...).
2ème séjour dans l'appartement de Mathilde et de nouveau aucun problème à signaler dans ce superbe logement parfaitement placé. Communication excellente pour les modalités d'arrivée et de départ, à conseiller!
We had a great stay in Mathilde's apartment, and thoroughly enjoyed our time in Paris. The apartment is in a fantastic location, close to the Champ de Mars, and a really short walk to a Metro station to get you anywhere else you want in Paris. There are also numerous charming Parisien cafés on your doorstep, and a small supermarket right near the Metro stop.
Communication beforehand was fine, and Mathilde was kind enough to allow us to check in early.
The apartment is in an older building, but Mathilde has decorated her apartment beautifully, making it feel chic and modern. The bed is soft and comfortable. The kitchen is small but serviceable. The shower was a bit weak, but the hot water was hot hot hot at least.
Beware, it's on the 4th floor with no elevator, so be prepared to climb stairs. But if that's not a problem for you, then I would thoroughly recommend Mathilde's apartment. Great value.
We stayed at Mathilde's apartment for a week and we enjoyed it so much. It is cozy, bright and nicely furnished. Its location is great, close to the metro station and you can easily reach any sightseeing place from there. We were renting bicycles and found it very convenient. There are several velib stations around the area. That was our first time in Paris and we just fell in love with the city. Mathilde's apartment was a part of these great impressions we've got. Next time in Paris we will surely stay there again;-)
I stayed four nights in Mathilde's apartment and found it very comfortable and conveniently located. It was clean and well appointed, with a really very comfortable bed, a well-equipped kitchen with washing machine, a nice TV (which I didn't use, way too busy ;-)) and WiFi, efficient heating system and nice natural light. There are supermarkets, a great open-air market, and a famous traditional food shop street, all a few steps away, and a brasserie serving food till late at night. Loads of attractions are walking distance or a short metro ride away. Last but not least, I found Mathilde an attentive host, ready to meet with my requests and needs. Thank you Mathilde! I will definitely come again!
Downside was the staircase to the apartment (it is a four-floor walk up), with a filthy, worn rug and peeling paint. It leaves one with such a bad feeling and expectation of dirt that although the apartment is spotless clean, on the first night one cannot help worrying about cockroaches. My husband was reaching me for the last two nights, and I was concerned about how he would take it. I hope it can be fixed soon, a new rug and a coat of paint would do wonders!
Our stay at Mathilde's place was great! My girlfriend and I were visiting just for a weekend and were extremely happy with our stay. We arrived very late on Thursday evening, but Mathilde gave very great instructions for how to get into the apartment. It is on the fourth floor (stairs) but the apartment is very nice, and looks just like the pictures!
Though visiting in mid-February, we were very lucky with the weather and were able to walk around everywhere. The Rodin museum/gardens are right around the corner and the Eiffel Tower is near by. There was also a metro stop on the end of the block. We found the metro to be very accessible and easy to navigate, using it almost exclusively to travel to further locations.
All in all, we were very Happy with Mathilde's accommodations. Would highly recommend for couples traveling or even just friends if you are comfortable sharing a big bed.
Mathilde's apartment is one of the nicest and most perfectly Parisienne places I could ever have hoped to find and I challenge anyone to find a better location for a touristy weekend break.
Mathilde wasn't able to meet us in person, but was in contact with instructions on how to get in to the apartment well in advance of our arrival. We still got a bit confused by the fact that the apartment was through a very non-descript door to the rear of the building and across a courtyard although I probably would have been quicker to spot it if I hadn't been so tired, so I can't fault Mathilde for that really!
The apartment itself is very clean, tidy and outfitted with everything you could possibly need for self-catering and cooking.
There are lots of restaurants nearby, although they're all pretty expensive and not particularly well reviewed on TripAdvisor or Yelp etc. but the supermarket round the corner is a big plus point. You also don't have to walk far at all before you find a really good boulangerie or two.
My girlfriend got a cold about half way through the weekend and when I messaged Mathilde she said that she didn't mind us leaving our bags in the apartment on our day of check out so we could spend the day without our luggage even though our flight home wasn't until the evening. This made life a LOT easier and I cannot thank our host enough for this courtesy.
All in all, a wonderful experience and one which the two of us will definitely be repeating when we return.
