Interaction with Guests
I only rent this apartment during my holidays. But a contact person with spare keys will be available for you.
Well, Maxvorstadt is simply the best place in Munich to stay and make holiday - in my opinion. The streets are never empty and never to crowded. People are very friendly - as much as the bars and cafés. If you want to go sightseeing: Famous Olympiapark and Englischer Garten are only 15 Minutes to walk. City center is only 2 Metro stations away. There is also a swimming path isn't far as well - so what more could you ask for?
Metro in 2 minutes, bus in 10 seconds.
Allergic persons:: Usually a dog lives in the appartment. Of course not during your stay :-)
From Sep 1 - Nov 30, 2015 the minimum stay is 5 nights.
Ruppert's apartment is nice and cozy. As others have said, the locks to the doors are tricky, so staying a week is a good way to appreciate those locks! Ruppert gave us good advice on where to eat in his neighborhood. He wasn't here to pick us up but his sister met us at the U Bahn stop close by and everything went smoothly. Speaking of which, the U Bahn stop is only a couple minutes walk away. The city center is less than 30 minutes away on foot with a slow pace. It's a little cold in the winter, so bring some nice warm pajamas to lounge around his big sofas in. Note that this listing is his actual live-in apartment. We bought some groceries and used some of his many seasonings and spices to make chili soup :P
RUPPERT IS THE MAN! My girlfriend and I stayed at Ruppert's awesome studio for 4 nights during the last few nights of Oktoberfest, and it was perfect. The neighborhood quickly became home to us. A quick 5 minute walk to the U train, which we used multiple times a day, got us all around the city. Nice cafes, a pharmacy, and several markets in the area so we were able to have easy access to all things we needed. Ruppert was also super cool, he's my new best friend! He was easy to reach during our stay, and was friendly. He gave us two classic German beers and a pretzel as a little welcome gift. Studio was much more spacious then the pictures allow, and the bed was pretty comfortable. The door lock has a little bit of "character" as it can be tricky the first few times with the key. Lol. But no big deal. Once we got the hang of it, it was like second nature. For the price and location, it's the best and was a great intro to airbnb. Thanks for an amazing weekend! SEE YOU AGAIN RUPPERT! Danke!
Tolle Wohnig mitten in München, super Zentral! Haben uns echt gefreut ihn persönlich kennenzulernen! Grüsse aus Berlin!!
Ruppert provided good directions and stayed in communication until we arrived. He was nice enough to let us check-in well before the agreed upon check-in time which was very helpful as we would have needed somewhere to store our luggage otherwise. He was friendly and courteous.
The apartment is very big and in a great location. It was a little bit on the older side so things (like door handles) didn't work perfectly. This was no real problem though. Internet worked well. It could've been a little cleaner for my liking, but this may have been due to the fact that there is a dog there when not rented out (and getting rid of dog hair is near impossible!). Ruppert did warn of this in his ad, so I would say overall what he posts is what you will get.
I should also add that he greeted us with beer and a large pretzel, which was a plus :)
Ruppert's apartment was perfect for my 3 friends and I when attending Oktoberfest this year. The apartment is cosy, right near public transport, and is located in an amazing street with great restaurants and shops. The best thing about this apartment was Ruppert himself. He was so kind, welcoming, and made sure we enjoyed our stay :) thanks so much Ruppert! Would definitely recommend this central place.
