Welcome to Hawson Farm Cottages a non working farm set within Dartmoor National Park.
Set in a secluded Dartmoor valley with the Gibby-Coombe stream from the Holy Brooke running through the woodland surround. Ideal for nature lovers who enjoy walking, cycling, birdwatching and even stargazing.
Forget your worries in this spacious and serene space, the perfect self contained getaway, with Dartmoor on your doorstep, two local pubs a community shop and a tea room just a short walk away.

The space
Gibby Cottage is one of two cottages in an ancient Dartmoor barn converted into a 2 bedroomed self contained contemporary living space.

Guest access
A large spacious private lawned area with outdoor seating and lovely rural views. Visitors can access our own private weir via a bridge and a woodland foot path adjacent to our leat, there is a drawn map in your welcome pack.
Please note that this is our home and we have kept some land and garden private for our own personal use.

Neighborhood highlights

Situated on the southern slopes of Dartmoor within walking distance of the high moor. From Hawson Farm there are two great country pubs, cafe and a community shop all which are a short walk away. Buckfastleigh and the ancient tannery town of Ashburton are only a short drive away or a good walk away. Situated only a couple of miles from the A38 Devon express way you have easy access to the city’s of Exeter and Plymouth and able to explore the stunning southern coast line of Devon, but the big attraction is the 365 square miles of beautiful Dartmoor where Hawson farm is nestled.

I was born in Devon absolutely love this part of the world. Worked with my husband and his family running a very successful caravan park near Ipplepen. We retired in 2023 when we bought Hawson Farm. After a year of hard work we now have two lovely holiday cottages a beautiful house with just over 8acres we are so lucky to call Hawson Farm home.
