This guest house is located on our small Permaculture farm in a quiet and secure residential neighborhood of Entebbe. The rooms are fairly basic but are clean and comfortable with soft sheets, nice cotton muslin mosquito nets and fans. The bathroom is clean and well functioning, shower has plenty of hot water and good water pressure.
There are two bedrooms available for rent, one with a single bed and one with a double bed. Guests will share the bathroom and living room which is quite cute but small. There is a small kitchen with a microwave oven, a refrigerator and everything you need to make tea and coffee. A hearty breakfast is included, served on the flower-filled terrace and our organic free-range eggs are the best you will find in Uganda!
Reliable wireless Internet is available.
Situated in a safe neighborhood for walking and from this location visits can be made to local markets and beaches, the Entebbe Botanic Gardens, and the downtown Entebbe 'beer belt'. Upon request we can arrange bird-watching boat cruises on a secluded bay of Lake Victoria.
This is a friendly place for anyone who is just arriving or departing. Safe and reliable airport transportation can be arranged upon request.
We are practicing a form of sustainable agriculture called Permaculture - which means we try to be as eco-friendly as possible, with a big beautiful vegetable garden, lots herbs and flowers and some really cute chickens and ducks.
Located in a residential neighborhood, very relaxed and friendly.
I have been living and working in Uganda since 1999, managing an HIV vaccine research project at Uganda's national health research institute in Entebbe. We practice permaculture at our home in Entebbe and love to share experiences (and herbs and eggs) with anyone who is interested. We have dogs, a cat and lots of chickens, ducks, guinea fowl, quails and turkeys- all of them co-existing peacefully with us and each other. We love living in Uganda and are happy to share information and insights on this most beautiful and aptly named 'Pearl of Africa'
