This being my first BnB experience, I could not have asked for more welcoming and friendly hosts than Lilla and John. They are two of the nicest people you will ever meet, and they open their home and themselves to you in a way that makes you feel like family. We had great conversation, my first time eating grits (thanks John!), and Lilla makes a mean waffle too! Their home is beautiful, the accommodations are nothing short of stellar, and the scenery is picturesque. If you're traveling to Raleigh, this is the place to be.
This was my first Airbnb stay and it could not have been better! My room was comfortable and inviting, the home was in a beautiful location, and breakfast was delicious. Lilla and John were gracious and pleasant hosts who were knowledgeable about the area. We enjoyed some good conversation and it was a pleasure getting to know them.
Lilla and John are amazing BNB hosts. They went above and beyond in every aspect of the stay. Everything was very comfortable and clean and the breakfast they cooked up was fantastic. Highly recommend and would definitely stay with then again if I'm in the area.
Lilla is a wonderful host and her home is comfortable, quiet, nicely decorated and clean. My husband and I stayed for two nights and slept well. Breakfast was delicious. The location was perfect for us and we enjoyed the quiet neighborhood one morning when we borrowed a dog (Crash) and took a walk.
I would (and will) recommend staying with Lilla and John to friends and family.
Lilla and her husband, John, were first class hosts. Wow! I believe in my road trip down the East Coast with my mom, this was our favorite experience. Their home is gorgeous, impeccable, with every little detail taken into consideration. This is the place where you want to go just relax. It is a beautiful community with a lake view in the back, a beautiful back patio, golf and tennis. It is certainly a gorgeous place to disconnect from the world and spend time with 2 wonderful people and experience the best of southern warmth. The breakfast was delightful, and Lilla makes the best grits I've ever had. If you stop by Raleigh and are looking for a place, do yourself a favor and treat yourself to Lilla's.
Second time and again great experience at the 18-hole Golf w/pool Tennis-Safari from Lilla Duhon. It is like coming home.
This time we were in the safariroom. It is a pitty that you sleep with your eyes closed because the room is wonderful decorated. Lilla remembered my special wishes, that was great! We enjoyed a corsious breakfast, started with fresh fruit and good coffee. And then the muffins.....chocolate-banana..a dream!!
we sure come back again. We enjoyed again the very clean bathroom and the beautiful garden. What a place!
What a wonderful family and experience ! We were welcomed in on arrival, just like family! Lilla made everything special from the sparkling clean home, friendly chats with hubby and son, to the homemade [from scratch] sweet potatoe pie for breakfast. Even the pups were well loved and we were all sad to leave, but plan to visit the next time we are in the area!
I really enjoyed the stay at Lilla's house. She is a great host and I really enjoyed my time there. We even cooked up Korean food today and had a "few drops" of wine to go with it. The house is very clean, room has 2 comfy beds, friendly dogs and her breakfast every morning was great. You won't get the same level of quality and price like that in a hotel at Raleigh. If you like golf, the golf course is in the neighborhood and course was best value for money.
