The space

Space and Light with the personality of the crossover between the old and the modern.
In downtown Baixa, you are in the middle of everything that makes Lisbon such a special place.
An affordable place with a great atmosphere.
UPDATES (Jan2017)
- UPGRADES: new AC, windows (better isolation and access), light in the kitchen, appliances (toaster, orange juice), door lock (increase security and reliability)
- Renovations in the building have now minimal impact - mostly less light due to exterior scaffolding.

Space and Light with the personality of the crossover between the old and the modern.
In downtown Baixa you are in the middle of everything that makes Lisbon such a special place.
You are at walking distance to the busy pedestrian R. Augusta, the Santa Justa Elevator or the river side and Praça do Comercio. Just walk a little more and if you go to the left (facing the river) you go up the hill till the Castle and all the old neighbors. Go to the right you walk till the trendy Chiado and the night life of Bairro Alto, Bica and Cais do Sodré.

You can't get better than this!

Ah! by the way, you have 2 bedrooms plus a convertible sofa in the living room to accommodate 6 people in total!
The living room is huge and full of light and we just didn't want people doing the hard work in the kitchen would miss this - so we did an open kitchen (kitchenette) so everyone is around!
You want to feel the sound of the city just open the windows and small-balcony doors - if you need a little rest just let them close - it is ok they are sound proof (or almost!)

We love this apartment and we hope you'll love it too - this was our first home and where we "did" 2 kids.
We just couldn't sell it now that we had to move - so we decided to share this passion with you and your friends!

You have everything you need:
- sofas and puffs so that everyone have a rest after a big day up and down Lisbon
- full equipped kitchen with dishwasher and laundry machine included (let the machines work for you!)
- An 8 person dinner table if you accidentally (or not) meet some new friends you want to invite in.
- A great stereo and awesome speakers with CD player and plug for your iPhone/Mp3
- keep cool with the air-conditioning

- let us know if you need anything more - this is our home and you are our guests

Places we like nearby:
- We like to take breakfast at Boulangerie by Stef or Outra face da Lua
- the last one also great for a light lunch with great sandwich and toast and salads
- An ice-cream in Fragoleto
- a cafe and "pastel de nata" at Café Sao Nicolau
- any pastry at Confeitaria Nacional
- any fish at restaurants in Campo das Cebolas
- wine and tapas at Nectar

Super cute, spacious, IKEA-outfitted 2br/1ba with A/C in GREAT location! Hugo & Anna were easy & nice. Felt secure with massive deadbolt. Note: flat is up 110 stairs (4 long flights) and no elevator- be aware for big suitcases, older folks and bad knees! Would recommend!

Hugo's is very central for everything which we loved. It has a spacious lounge and 2 spacious bedrooms, one of which has air con (smaller one doesn't). It was clean and overall well kept. It is a good walk up the stairs with suitcases - something to consider if you struggle with steps in any way. There was some noise in the morning from some works clearly going on (as there is currently scaffolding up outside) but it was bearable. Overall a nice stay.

The location of this apartment was excellent for getting around to see all the areas of Lisbon - very central and easy to get to. The host was very helpful in linking up with us to check in and was able to answer any and all questions. I would recommend this place to anyone.

Hugo was a very nice and kind host. He answered our questions within minutes and showed us around the flat. The flat itself has the perfect location for your trip to Lisbon, is spacious and furnished modern and cozy. Sadly there was a water damage during our stay. The bedrooms and the bathroom were moldy. The air was cold and pretty wet. The portable heaters were not strong enough to heat up the flat in December. But I can imagine that the flat will be perfect for a journey in summer.

Response from Hugo:
So sorry you didn't have the perfect experience. The renovation on the building probably created some of the leakage you experienced. That is now solved. As for the heating, I'm surprised because we have 2 brand new A/C in the living room and main bedroom. And additionally, we have 2 heaters for the second bedroom. But is true that Lisbon is facing a historically cold winter - and downtown buildings are not prepared for that. Next time I recommend your stay in a Hotel or go to a modern part of Lisbon with newer buildings :)
