About This Listing
Come and enjoy your stay in New York City in the elegant Upper West Side: close to all but away from the noise of the city!
24/7 stores and cafes are steps away, as well as parks to relax in Nature .
Apt is nicely furnished, clean, tidy, and quiet.
Clean, tidy, cozy, efficiently designed, tastefully furnished, and in the heart of the Upper West Side: so convenient!
This renovated apartment is located at the ground floor of a pre-war building on a tree lined street surrounded by beautiful historical architecture. Steps to major subway lines (1,2,3,B,C): 5 min to Times Square, 10 min to Union Square, West Village, Chelsea and Meet Packing District. Few blocks from gorgeous Central Park and West Side River Park. Trader Joe's is across the street along with other gourmet groceries (Fairway, Cittarella) few blocks away. Great restaurants, bars and cafes populate the neighborhood. 5 min walking distance to Lincoln Center and Museum of Natural History. Century 21 and the Apple store are few blocks away.
The apartment has been furnished and renovated by an architect, it's clean and tidy and I expect my guests to take good care of it.
Eat in equipped kitchen, small living room with sofa bed and sleeping loft above with queen size bed, TV with HDMI port, and wifi. No cable. Speakers with Bluetooth to play your music. The closet will be empty for you, as well the bookcases, fridge and pantry.
Big windows in every room including bath. Very quiet because it faces a backyard and a garden. Sheets and towels provided. It sleeps two.
The whole apt will be available for guests, very little of my things will be around: empty closet and shelves, pantry and fridge will have basic items such as tea, coffee, sugar, olive oil, and spices.
I interact with my guests when they have questions or requests. I respect their privacy, but I'm also very happy to know them better if they are open to that.
I'm looking for somebody responsible, clean, and quiet.
The whole apt is available for guests, closet will be empty as well as most of the bookcase. Basically like an hotel room!
Interaction with Guests
I will be at the apt at guests' arrival for check in, and I will be available during their stay if needed.
Usually I'm not present at check out and keys are left inside the apt.
It feels very central and it's very easy to get anywhere in the city quickly because of the express and local subway lines, but at the same time there is a more relaxed attitude, maybe because of Central Park and Riverside Park nearby.
1, 2, 3 subway lines are literally across the street
B, C subway lines are 2 blocks away.
Plenty of bus stops, including cross town ones are very close.

An amazing oasis in the city. Both quiet and close to everything. The lay-out of the loft is fun and functional. We have nothing bad to say about this clean, well designed loft.
The apartment was exactly as described in the profile. A cozy and clean apartment that has got pretty much everything you may need for a nice and relaxing stay in New York. It is a light apartment, with several windows in the kitchen, bathroom and in the living room/sleeping area. Fully stocked kitchen with pots and cans, spices etc. The only things I missed was a coffee machine (I'm a Swede, we drink a lot of strong coffee ;-) ) and a toaster. Otherwise I had everything I needed.
The apartment is situated on the ground floor which is good in most perspective but you can easily hear everyone coming into the building, checking their mail boxes, hear what they are talking about (and some neighbors tend to come home and talk loudly even after midnight - and this can be a bit annoying at first - but once you get used to it it doesn't bother you that much. You get used to it.
It is situated in a perfect area of UWS, really close to the park and to several subway lines. Shops, grocery stores and plenty of nice restaurants basically just around the corner.
Silvia is a really good and informative tenant. She contacted me after a few days just to check how things where and to let me know that I could reach her whenever I wanted. Didn't need to contact her though as everything worked smoothly.
I would definitely like to stay here when I come to visit NYC next time!
The apartment is ideally located near the 1/2/3 subway station and extraordinarly close to Central Park. Silvia was an excellent hostess who made sure that you instantly fell at home at the apartment. I would recommend this apartment to everyone for both long and short trips, especially when you are planning to stay in the UWS.
Silvia is an excellent hostess and made us feel very welcome during our stay. The size of the apartment is great: compact but well-equipped. Location is excellent with metro station around the corner and one of the city's best grocery stores right next to it. Highly recommended.
It's a really lovely loft-ish studio with a nice kitchen. Super clean & quite. The location is perfect for taking subway and going to the Central Park. Silvia is a very kind host. I'd highly recommended this place for visiting in NYC, and I might stay here again!

About the Host, Silvia
I'm originally from Ferrara, Italy, and I came to the US for a Master in Architecture few years ago: I was supposed to stay just a couple of years but I fell in love with NY, and I've been living here since 2004!
I'm passionate about sustainable architecture and natural design. You can take a look at my website: silvianeridesign.
I'm also a yoga teacher and I have a yoga-travel website: theyogatrail.
I love to travel around the world and discover new cultures, try new food, explore new territories - jungle, desert, coral reefs, cities, villages- and learn every day something new.
Being an Airbnb host has been a great experience for me and I feel blessed to have met so many nice and interesting guests, creating an international network of friends.
I love to share what I know about NY, giving recommendations and info: since I'm a traveler myself I know how important it is to have tips from locals... but I've also learned new things about NY from my guests too!
More about me? I love Nature and all outdoor activities. I love to cook healthy delicious food and drink good wine, maybe while listening to some good jazz music!
And now... what about you? ; )
