The Space

The Ocean House faces east on the north shore of Kaua'i and is situated just a few minutes walk from a stunning protected Bay on the North shore of Kaua'i. This space has ocean and mountain views with over 1000 feet of hardwood deck extending 15 feet out from the building on the ocean side.

The large 9 foot glass sliding doors open so you have open space from your bed to the ocean, sky and mountains.

Arched large trusses extend to a vaulted 17 foot sky blue ceilings. The walls are 10' teak paneling. Earthen floors (sealed with beeswax), large reclaimed granite bathroom, and kitchenette. All original oil paintings.
All lighting is LED, energy efficent and human friendly.

We have a farm and stream on the lower part of the land where we grow fruits and vegitables.

We wish to connect people to the beauty of Kaua'i, and our spaces have been created to blend seamlessly with the nature that surrounds us. We strive to be as “eco-friendly" as we can, and to minimize our impact on our surroundings.

The buildings are constructed of reclaimed teak and sandalwood from 150 year old buildings in Thailand. We also incorporate earthen floors, exterior earthen walls, and reclaimed granite in the kitchen and bathrooms. The structures are all working pieces of art, incorporating mosaics and statues, sacred geometry and antique artifacts.

This is a place to remember our connection to the wonder of life. It is a place to relax, unplug, and experience life the way it once was. Come enjoy the open air structures, the healing ocean, and the beauty that is Old Kaua'i.

We look forward to sharing the wonder of this land with you.

Guest Access

Bikes, beach chairs, fins and snokling gear, yoga mats, surf boards, tandem kayak, spear guns, fishing poles, beach towels, scuba tank, boogie boards, and Moloaa Bay.

Interaction with Guests

We are happy to talk with our guest if they want to know about anything. We also are happy to let our guest have their own personal retreat time without interuptions.

The Neighborhood

We are just a few minutes from Moloaa Bay, which is great for swimming, snokling on the north and south sides, enjoying the nice beaches and hiking to the north point for sunrise to see turtles or whales.
We also have Moloaa fruit stand just up the road for coffee, smoothies, sandwiches; as well as a good health food store 10 minutes drive to the north. Also Common ground garden restaurant across from the health food store has organic and local breakfast and lunches that are wonderful.

Getting Around

We recommend renting a car due to the fact that Kaua'i is very spread out.
That said, the bus stop is up the hill at Moloaa fruit stand and hitch hiking is common and easy in Kauai.

Other Things to Note

We don't use poisons and you may see insects that are harmless such as ants, spiders, snails and roaches, ect., we have no snakes.
The Ocean house is the 2nd story of a two story house.
