About This Listing
The Ocean House faces east on the north shore of Kaua'i and is situated just a few minutes walk from a stunning protected Bay on the North shore of Kaua'i. This space has 360 degrees view with over 1000 feet of hardwood deck extending 15 feet out from the building on the ocean side.
The large 9 foot glass sliding doors open so you have open space from your bed to the ocean, sky and mountains.
Arched large trusses extend to a vaulted 17 foot sky blue ceilings. The walls are 10' teak paneling. Earthen floors (sealed with beeswax), large reclaimed granite bathroom, and kitchenette. All original oil paintings.
All lighting is LED, energy efficent and human friendly.
We have a farm and stream on the lower part of the land where we grow fruits and vegitables.
We wish to connect people to the beauty of Kaua'i, and our spaces have been created to blend seamlessly with the nature that surrounds us. We strive to be as “eco-friendly” as we can, and to minimise our impact on our surroundings. The buildings are constructed of reclaimed teak and sandalwood from 150 year old buildings in Thailand. We also incorporate earthen floors, exterior earthen walls, and reclaimed granite in the kitchen and bathrooms. The structures are all working pieces of art, incorporating mosaics and statues, sacred geometry and antique artifacts.
This is a place to remember our connection to the wonder of life. It is a place to relax, unplug, and experience life the way it once was. Come enjoy the open air structures, the healing ocean, and the beauty that is Old Kaua’i.
We look forward to sharing the wonder of this land with you.
Bikes, beach chairs, fins and snokling gear, yoga mats, surf boards, tandem kayak, spear guns, fishing poles, beach towels, scuba tank, boogie boards, and Moloaa Bay.
Interaction with Guests
We are happy to talk with our guest if they want to know about anything. We also are happy to let our guest have their own personal retreat time without interuptions.
We are just a few minutes from Moloaa Bay, which is great for swimming, snokling on the north and south sides, enjoying the nice beaches and hiking to the north point for sunrise to see turtles or whales.
We also have Moloaa fruit stand just up the road for coffee, smoothies, sandwiches; as well as a good health food store 10 minutes drive to the north. Also Common ground garden restaurant across from the health food store has organic and local breakfast and lunches that are wonderful.
We recommend renting a car due to the fact that Kaua'i is very spread out.
That said, the bus stop is up the hill at Moloaa fruit stand and hitch hiking is common and easy in Kauai.
We appreciate people who like the beauty of quietness and are interested in the natural ways of Kauai. No smoking indoors, moderate drinking okay.
Anthony and Hami
The Aloha spirit is alive and strong within Anthony and Hami's home. It is a place for romantics to explore their true souls. A warm welcome / architectural structures designed with character and soul / a community of fellow travelers / a pizza open on island time = laughter + friendship / exposed to the passion fruit of the gods - Casa Noble tequila / the tension melts away - forgot the time and day /warm greetings from Mowgly / awesome porch - from morning coffee to brilliant meals in the evening / lush tropical gardens and fresh fruit - capturing the spirit and heart of the land / ultimately, a bed positioned to the gateway of paradise. Mahola!

Our experience was absolutely incredible, and a magnificent way to begin our honeymoon in Kauai! Anthony and Hami are very kind, and you can tell how much work has gone into every space of their home and land. It was so peaceful and beautiful, and we are so very thankful to have found them.
This is a very special place and was a highlight of our trip to Hawaii. We looked forward to returning to the Ocean House every evening after a long day of hiking and beaching. The structure is beautiful and artful - great care and attention to detail are evident throughout the space. I particularly appreciated the beautiful array of glasses, dishes and cutlery. The bathroom and kitchen fixtures are also high quality. The location is spectacular - within walking distance to a protected bay and we have such fond memories of falling asleep and waking up to gentle, round breezes and enjoying our morning tea on the porch overlooking a paradise backdrop (not exaggerating)! Anthony and Hami are warm, gracious hosts. We wish could have stayed longer and will definitely be back. Thank you both so much for creating such a unique and beautiful sanctuary!
We had a wonderful stay at the Ocean House. Anthony was a great host. He was welcoming, laid back, and gave us many helpful suggestions for beaches and locations to visit during our stay.
The room and property were as beautiful as they appeared in the photos. Anthony and Hami have created a wonderful atmosphere, and have a lovely property to share with all those who visit.
We hope to return soon! Thanks to Anthony & Hami for making our stay so enjoyable and relaxing.

We stayed only one night at Anthony's house. The accommodation was ok and Anthony was very nice.
