The Citrus House is a 4 bedroom, 3 bath house located 2 blocks to the beach and Old Town Bay St. Louis. The location provides a private setting very convenient to downtown. This house includes a private pool with a large patio.

The space
This house includes a private pool with a large patio , private garden and deck overlooking the pool.

The living room is a very cozy space for relaxing and watching TV. It has 1 large sofa, comfortable chairs, & a flat screen tv with DVR. The living room opens to a spacious dining room. The dining room table has seating for 8 people. This is the heart of the open floor plan and is connected to both the living room and kitchen. It is spacious and sunny.

The kitchen has been renovated & is fully equipped with dishes, utensils, cookware, and barware. There is a large refrigerator with an icemaker. Appliances include an electric stove, dishwasher, and microwave. Small appliances include coffeemaker, toaster, crockpot and blender.

The deck is accessed off of the kitchen and allows for outdoor dining. The deck also overlooks the pool and patio area.

There is a Weber grill for your use for outdoor cooking.

There are 4 well appointed bedrooms that are very comfortable.

The master bedroom entrance is off main hall through at the front of the home. There is a king size bed with bedside table and good lighting. There is a large dresser and a seating area . Also in the bedroom is a a flat screen TV. The bedroom has large windows that allow natural light in the room. There is a large dresser. There is an en suite bathroom with two sinks, bathtub/shower combination. This bedroom has privacy curtains and blinds.

The other two bedrooms off of the main hall are well appointed with queen beds, chest of drawers, night stands, bedside lamps, & generous closet space. They guest bedroom have large windows with blinds and curtains for privacy. These two bedrooms share bathroom located off the hall with a shower/tub combination.

The fourth bedroom is located in the back of the house and has a queen bed, a large armoire, several windows with privacy curtains and blinds. This bedroom has an ensuite bathroom with pedestal sink and shower. It is handicap accessible.

There is an office space located at the back of the house. There is wifi and a printer provided for your laptop. The washer/dryer is in a closet off of this space. There is cabinet storage in this space.

*All TVs in the cottage have a ROKU for streaming as well as an antenna for local channels.

*Pets are allowed on an individual basis. Please call for questions.

*Cancellation Policy: Must notify 14 days before arrival date for refund.

*We DO NOT allow rehearsal dinners, weddings, receptions, showers, stag parties, bachelor parties, large parties, etc. on the premises.

*Guests must be at least 25 years old. If you have questions please contact us.

The Citrus House is located in the historic "Old Town" residential district near Main Street. Old Town is a thriving district of quaint shops.

If you are looking for antiques, local art gifts, and flea market finds- this is the place. Start your shopping on Main Street and venture out from there. Some of our favorites include The French Potager, Antique Maison, The Social Chair, and Clay Creations! Bay Books, Gourmet Galley, and Serious Bread are must stops.

The local eateries in nearby Old Town Bay St. Louis include:

The Mockingbird Cafe which makes specialty coffee and teas and serves delicious hamburgers and sandwiches. This is located next to Century Hall Antiques.

On Main Street is PJ's Coffee from New Orleans that offers take out and seating for dining. Next door is Creole Creamery offering locally made ice-cream.

One block away is The Buttercup is a local favorite serving great breakfast and lunch daily. Find an outstanding hamburger here.

The Sycamore House is fine dining at its best owned by husband and wife, Stella LeGardeur and Michael Eastham. Stella and Mike are graduates of the Culinary Institute of America in New York. They are known for their fine meals and hand made New York Style Pizza featuring fresh toppings.

Located on Main Street near Beach Blvd. is Field's Steakhouse. This restaurant features fresh seafood and top grade beef.

On the beach front is 200 North Beach, a local favorite for fresh seafood and has an excellent bar scene. Also checkout The Blind Tiger on the beach at Main St. for great harbor views. The Trapani's Eatery has been a mainstay for Bay St. Louis for many years. The Seafood is fresh and gumbo made daily.

The Citrus House is a 15 minute walk to the historical depot area. This depot area was the site of the 'on location' 1965 filming of 'This Property Is Condemned' a love story set in 1930 Dodson, Mississippi starring Natalie Wood and Robert Redford (one of their first films).

The Bay St. Louis Little Theatre (Starr Boarding House in the movie) offers productions of popular shows.

The 100 Men Hall is on the Mississippi Blues Trail featuring live blues shows. The Bay St. Louis Community Hall is a multi-use facility and is very popular for weddings, receptions, and banquets.

The Depot District has several eateries and bars which are favorite local hang outs. The historic L&N Train Depot has been recently restored and houses the Alice Mosely Museum. Miss Alice was well known locally, regionally and has generated international acclaim. She died in 2005 at the age of 94. Her work attracts hundreds of tourists to her home and gallery in Bay St. Louis.

Another worthwhile stop is Countryside Antiques on Highway 90 in Waveland. Proprietors Mike Mayo and Tom Cottom have impeccable tastes (35 years in the antique trade). Their French, American, and English Antiques will astound you. Don't miss the art glass and silver.

The award-winning golf shop is open to provide you with everything you need to play and improve your game.

If you are interested in fresh seafood Dempsey's is not to be missed. The restaurant is located in the Kiln, just up the road from the 'bay'. The oysters, gumbo, & seafood entrees are delicious. They also specialize in steaks. For more information and directions visit (URL HIDDEN)

If you are looking for fresh sea food from the Gulf check out Kimballs Seafood located at the Pass Christian Harbor. They offer fresh fish, shrimp, crabs, and oysters when in season.

Local grocery markets include Froogles, Claiborne Hills and Walmart.

For pharmacy needs, Walgreens on Highway 90 in Waveland has regular hours and Walgreens in Slidell or Gulfport stay open 24 hours.

A few other restaurants to put on your list include Hook, Shaggys, overlooking Pass Christian Harbor is a short drive over the Bay Bridge .

We have been coming back to 'The Bay' for over twenty years and are so proud that the Katrina Recovery is going well. The quiet streets, beautiful beaches, and the history of Old Town Bay St. Louis hold a special place in our hearts. Bob is a physician, I am a nurse and currently live in Jonesboro, Arkansas. We are both active in civic organizations, community projects, and Rotary International (locally and abroad).
