  • Tom's place was great! It was the perfect home base for this family of four to explore the city. Very spacious for a NYC 1-bedroom and well-equipped; easy to find, elevator building, in the middle of a very fun neighborhood and close to many others. The subway is 2 blocks away (this was a highlight for our 2 boys and we took it everywhere). We had a fantastic stay. Thanks, Tom!

PS: If you stay here, don't miss Russ & Daughters just around the corner on Houston! Best bagels. Another reason the location is perfect.

  • Toms place was nice and clean. The location in the lower east side was perfect, plenty of good restaurants and bars within walking distance. Toms instructions on how to get the keys via YouTube were extremely easy to follow. I would definitely stay here again!

  • We stayed 5 nights in this tidy little place and enjoyed it very much. We had a slightly rocky start, when we arrived to find that the housekeeper had not shown up. However, Tom was immediately accessible by phone/text, and came over instantly and did all the cleaning and setup himself, even though it was after 8pm by that time. He was extremely nice and made sure we were completely satisfied before he left.

We had no problems after that. Everything works well and is just as pictured. The water in the bathroom takes a moment to heat up, but once it does it's nice and hot.

The kitchen is equipped with the most basic necessities (cups, plates, utensils; coffee maker; corkscrew), but beyond that it's pretty limited. (If you're thinking of cooking, be sure to check before you start to make sure you have what you need.) On the other hand, you're on vacation in New York! Why are you cooking when you're at the center of one of the most interesting neighborhoods in the city??!

The building is either quite new or very recently renovated; everything is very shiny and contemporary. It doesn't have the classic charm of an older building, but then it doesn't have the attendant problems of an older building, either. After hiking all over the city all day long, we were grateful to come back to a building new enough to have an elevator!

The location is excellent, just 1.5 blocks from the F/J/M at Delancey/Essex. Two bus lines run in front of the building. There's a wonderful farmer's market almost across the street, a drug store around the corner, and lots of restaurants & bars on the surrounding blocks. It's also a 3-4 minute walk to the famous Katz's Deli, and less than a 15-minute walk to the corner of Spring & Mott streets, where you find Lombardi's pizza (and my favorite NYC dessert place, Rice to Riches).

I can't emphasize enough how easy and pleasant it was to work with Tom. I really did feel like I could call him in the middle of the night if necessary. I would definitely stay here again in the future.

  • Great little place in the LES. Convenient and close to everything. Loved the little market across the street! Clean, tidy, and useful! Beautiful big windows to see the sunset one of the biggest tubs I've ever seen! I'd definitely stay here again.

We didn't met Tom, but it was very well organized to get the keys.

  • A clean, modern, and tidy apartment at a convenient place. Tom took care of everything and we have had an excellent stay. Yes, the traffic at night might be a bit noisy, but hey.. that's Manhattan. Great place, great location. Wouldn't mind having this as my own pied-a-terre in the City.

  • The location of the apartment is just PERFECT! Close to everything but in the lively, changing and creative Lower Eastside. Trains and your feet will take you everywhere! The aparment itself is very big, nicely furnished and we had everything we need. Eventhough we never met Tom, he took care of all we need, the communication was perfect and he was very flexible as we told him we would need the sofa as a second bed. All good, would defenitely go there again. The only little lowlight was that the place, esp. the sofa could have been cleaner.
