My home in Richmond is a two level spacious warehouse apartment located in the inner city of Melbourne
From the front door you enter into a garden courtyard and BBQ eating area. Inside the home the downstairs area has the kitchen eating area, a lounge TV area and formal dining. The laundry is also located downstairs.
Upstairs there is a private guest double bedroom with private bathroom and toilet and also a cosy private TV reading room as well.
The apartment is located 5 minutes from the City centre and is accessed by both trains and trams.
At the end of my very quiet lane is the bustling Bridge Road that has cafes, restaurants, supermarkets and great shopping.
One kilometre away is Victoria street that is famous for an excellent variety of Vietnamese and Asian cuisine
In my neighborhood I live in a very quiet residential area and where the apartment is situated in a non thoroughfare lane so there is no through traffic.

Helens home is amazing! So clean and organized and very safe feeling. Helen was so nice and clear on communicating with us throughout our stay. We were given our own bathroom and also a great TV room to relax in. The bed was very comfortable as well. Her home is located a minute walk off Bridge Street which has lots of cafes and shops and is not far from the walk into the city. I highly recommend her home, we couldn't have been more pleased!
Helen was an excellent host, her house is beautiful, super clean, and organised. The bed was comfy and she has great water pressure in the shower. The place is around the corner from some great outlet shopping and there are tones of good cafes in walking distance. Easy tram ride or walk into the CBD too.
Helen shared her local knowledge with us and we discovered some awesome things on our stay. We would gladly stay here again.
Thanks Helen, we really enjoyed our stay in your lovely home. The bedroom was exceptionally comfortable and having the use of a dedicated lounge and bathroom was awesome. We truly appreciated your efforts and your super quick responses to our queries, to ensure our stay went smoothly.
The fruit and bottled water were also a lovely touch. Overall a very comfortable stay in a convenient part of town, with great food, shopping and easy access around Melbourne.
Helen's house is exactly how it looks like in the pictures.
We were warmly greeted by Helen who gave us easy directions to everything around the house and even bus schedules.
The double bed proved to be alittle tight for us but we had the pleasure of choosing different types of pillows which was such a luxury. The use of the tv area on the 2nd floor is a very cosy hangout area to chill.
Helen welcomed us to use the living room to watch movies in the day but unfortunately we didn't quite have the chance.
Very convenient area with lots of discounted outlets just outside the main road.
Helen and Paul were very welcoming and always ready to swap stories about bands, gigs and festivals. Communication with Helen before our stay was smooth and unproblematic. Helen's house is very modern (we really liked the concrete floor!), clean and close to everything. We fell for the Rowena Terrace milk bar ((website hidden) it or simply ask Helen). We would definitely return!
we had a nice time at Helens House. the room was big enough and clean with a comfortable bed. we had our own bathroom and living room with tv. it is really near to the cbd of melbourne, only 10min by tram.
we can really recommend to stay here if you want to visit Melbourne and want to be near to the city.
I was nervous before my trip to Melbourne. I knew nobody in the city and it was my 1st time using AirBnB. However having Helen as a host quickly took that away ! Helen was warm, helpful and trusting and it was a pleasure to stay with her. Her house is lovely and just a 10min tram ride into the buzz of CBD, 10min walk from the MCG and just off the main Bridge road of Richmond where you have a lot of shopping and dining options.
I highly recommend her place for those looking to experience Melbourne by living just outside the city center.
