A stone's throw from the city of Hamilton, this apartment offers views of the city skyline. We are located in a residential neighbourhood which is conveniently located close to schools, churches, grocery stores and the city center. Just about everything you need is within walking distance from the apartment.
Our guest have access to onsite laundry facility, Cable TV and WiFi.
To get around we have taxi numbers that you can call if you wish a taxi but since the property isn't that far from the city center you can always take a slow stroll into the city.
Also pink poles are for buses going into Hamilton and blue poles are for buses going out of Hamilton. You'll see these poles if you're going into the city.
Lastly, there is also the option of renting a moped. I highly recommend that you rent a moped only if you have had previous experience. Our road are very narrow and there's a lot of traffic on the roads at certain times during the day and night.
Other Things to Note
All our night/week/monthly rates are for 1-2 persons. Additional guests will be charged $45/night including children.
Our main house rule is that you treat the apartment as if it was your own home. So relax, have fun and most importantly enjoy your vacation.
In the house manual, Anta-Nae ensures guests that she wants them to feel as though the flat is their home. That experience is made possible in every way. I can say without reservation that this past week has felt like a home away from home experience!
My best friend and I had looked at a number of places on AirBnB before booking, but we always came back to Anta-Nae's. First, the location was splendid: we wanted to be able to walk to Hamilton until we felt familiar enough with the area to rent scooters. Second, the place looked well kept and cosy. We aren't inordinately picky people, but we wanted to feel comfortable in our surroundings.
This place met the criteria and more. For starters, Anta-Nae recommended a taxi driver for us to prebook so that we'd be met at the airport and taken to the flat without difficulty. Not only did Mr Lambe meet us at the appointed time, he gave us a tour of the area as we were driving, pointed out places to visit and highlights of the area and then, when we left yesterday and it was lashing rain, met us at the door with an umbrella and saw that we were kept dry the whole time. But I digress: at the flat, we were met by Anta-Nae's mother, Be'atrice, who was very protective and caring our whole stay. She looked out for us when we were normally arriving home, she gave us pointers on our scooters, she checked in to make sure we were okay and she made our stay warm and extremely pleasant. We appreciated this, as it made us feel like we could ask for help if need be.
Then there was the flat. It is definitely a nice place! Much care has been put into its upkeep. The appliances are new. The shower is powerful and the tiling has been recently replaced, from the looks of things. The furniture is comfy, and the bed is soft yet firm. The kitchen has everything one needs to prepare meals, which we did every day. There is a grocery store very close by, so that enabled us to save some money (Bermuda is quite expensive by American standards). There is even a television with cable, which helped a lot for planning: We would check the local weather forecast every day to figure out when would be the best time to do certain activities. In total, this place had everything we needed and more.
To sum up, one can't go wrong with Anta-Nae's place. It is perfect.
The Butterfields were amazing, wonderful hosts, and they went out of their way to make us feel special and welcome. We felt like we made new friends, not just a place to stay. However the apartment is perfect for a couple that is looking to explore Bermuda and learn about the community, rather than just the resorts. We had a ton of fun walking through Hamilton, and we took the bus and ferry services from one end of the island to the other. GREAT trip, and staying at the Butterfield's place is the perfect place to stay.
Our hosts went above and beyond our expectations, and we had a truly exceptional visit. They were more than helpful with all of our needs, including helping us with directions, giving us advice, and making sure we were comfortable. They were genuinely kind and attentive, and wanted to make sure we had a good time. The accommodations were fantastic. The space was quite a bit bigger than in the photos, and the three of us were more than comfortable. We had a wonderful time!
Mrs. Butterfield was a wonderful host. She welcomed us upon arrival. The apartment is spacious, clean and comfortable. The location is about a 15-20 minute walk to the bus depot. The area is safe to walk around day or night. Next time we travel to Bermuda we will definitely stay at Anta-Nae's house!
Anta Nae was a great host and the place was really nice. I would definitely recommend it to anyone!
Great apartment - Anta-Nae and her family were responsive quickly and everything was set-up, clean and ready to go when we arrived and Anta-Nae set us up with a taxi driver to get from the airport, who was great and was priced fairly. I went with a friend and we found thw apartment was perfect for two people - there's one Queen bed, plenty of closet space and a littlrnliving room and a full kitchen. It's located in a quiet residential part of the island and is a 20 minute walk into Hamilton, where you can get any bus line to get anywhere on the island. There's also a grocery store about a 5-10 minute walk away - we bought food there for breakfast and cooked every morning the apartment. Overall, nice centrally-located apartment perfect for tqo people. Also, the price was great for a normally-expensive island!
This is such a wonderful place to stay. Anta-Nae and Bae are so friendly and helpful. The apartment is super clean and is a perfect size for a couple or a single person. Please note that the area to watch television only really allows for one person to sit in couch style chair but, that is not a real issue. The apartment is located about a 20 minute walk from everything in Hamilton. It is also in an area whee most locals live. I would 100% head back here it was a great experience.
I'm currently a senior at FIU majoring in statistics. I currently live in the Miami, Fl area and I return to Bermuda during my summer breaks. I love to travel whether its by myself, with friends or my family. Each trip I go on I try to make it more adventurous from the previous one.
I love being a host and I've always enjoyed meeting new people. I've worked in the retail and hotel industry so meeting and socializing with new people is something I enjoy. My family and I try to make the guest feel like they're at their own home. We live on the property as well so usually if the guest wants to know whats happening around the island we're there to help them. You just have to come an experience your vacation living at our property. I guarantee you'll enjoy your stay and wished you didn't have to leave.
