Interaction with Guests
I am here to greet my guests and show them around. I spend quite a bit of time letting my guests know what to do in the area and also lots of friendly chit chat sometimes over a glass of wine and a meal. I also vanish to my studio to give my guests their private time
My neighbourhood has short walks to nature areas such as a waterway with water-lilies, water dragons and lots of bird life. There are bush tracks at the top of the hill beyond the graveyard (an interesting spot in itself). If you are an early bird you can see the sunrise entering through the mist along the river. For the night owls you can stay up and touch the milky way amongst all of the glittering stars.
It is certainly a bonus to have a car as the extended areas are best as driving excursions. There is a bus into Coffs Harbour. From the Coffs Harbour airport there is a taxi and an occasional bus both of which are expensive. If arriving by greyhound bus or train there is a stop in Urunga which is serviced by a bus during the day coming up to Bellingen otherwise you prearrange with me for pick up.
Mindful of facilities and equipment, turning heating/cooling off when not in room, locking doors.
We met our host a week earlier as she had to be away during our stay and we formed an instant bond with her, and her 2 cats and 3 chickens. She was most welcoming and informative about the area. The place was as described and is located in a quiet residential area not to far from the town centre and its collection of cafes. We loved our stay here very much.
Anne is a lovely host, really enjoyed my stay with her. House was well presented, very comfortable bread. Homemade sour dour bread was provided for breakfast and was delicious, looking forward to trying to make some myself. Would recommend staying with Anne.
I stayed one night but wished I could have stayed longer. Wonderful, relaxing, private and comfortable accommodation. Anne was a lovely hosts, she thought of everything. She even offered to carry my bag upstairs. The homemade bread was the best I ever had. Ten out of ten! Thank you for letting me stay in your heaven.
Anne is a delightful and lovely lady who warmly welcomed us into her home. We even managed to get the car up the steep driveway! Apparently not highly recommended, but we enjoyed the adventure. Anne's house is cosy and homely and the guest room very comfortable. We had a nice time chatting with Anne curled up on the couch, and she is very informative about places to eat or visit in the area. It's an easy walk to the cafe strip in Church St. Anne is a very interesting person and we learnt many new things, and saw her beautiful pottery around the house and studio. Her home-made sourdough bread for breakfast was delicious ... she even gave us a small amount of dough starter to take home. We loved our stay with Anne and would gladly stay with her again.
Anne was a thoughtful and welcoming hostess and the room was really lovely well appointed with great attention to detail
Annes Unique pottery creations scattered throughout house and garden and two lovely moggies happy for a cuddle add to the rustic homespun ambience
Anne makes a mean Pavlova too and guests absolutely should negotiate for the opportunity to sample one of Annes fab Pavs as part of the guests deal
This hillside home owned by a Anne a friendly and creative potter offers a clean and comfortable room with air-conditioning and is within walking distance to town. Parking is on the street and it's a steep drive and stairs to your bed but this offers some nice views from the balcony.
A very quirky house to stay in with pottery..cats..a lovely outdoor area. Anne is so welcoming and made sure we knew where everything was and that we were settled in. Homemade bread the next day was great. Bellingen is beautiful, very quaint with some relaxing coffee shops - we spend ages in Hyde when the weather was bad. Nice trip to the Dangar Falls and the Skywalk (both recommended by Anne).
About the Host, Anne
I am a young at heart mature age girl. I am easy going and love to provide for peoples comfort and relaxation. I am still pursuing my life long excusion into pottery and sculpture so I will no doubt greet you with clay smothered hands. I put a lot of love into my two cats so they are the happiest cats you have ever seen and they love to meet new people especially to share a smooch. I am always willing to share a meal especially if you're cooking.
I have done enough travelling to want to just stay put for a while. I love wine o'clock on my deck to take in the sunset over 'old man dreaming' across the Dorrigo mountain range.
