"Why don't they have apartments like this in NYC?"
"By far the best Airbnb rental!!"
"Perfect location for a Steelers games"
This is what our guest have to say about this place, but why don't you discover it for yourself.
Your room is in a 200 year old school building converted into brand new upscale luxury apartment. The apartment is in the happening South Side, very close to downtown, the convention center and the universities. If you like character this doesn't get better.
The house is completely furnished and your room will have a full sized bed. The rooms is very well lit and has huge wall to wall windows. The room is one of the two bedrooms in a huge apartment and you'll be sharing the house with a young couple. You will have your own separate bathroom and ample closet space.
My husband teaches at CMU and I am attending b-school so we are away most of the time. Otherwise, we are fun loving and friendly. We love traveling and have travelled all over the world. We like to show our guest around and several of them have become close friends, but if you like your space, we are cool with that too :-)
There are literally 100s of bars and cafes in walking distance from the house, but it is a block away from all the crazy action, you can be a part of the fun when you want and get home to a peaceful bed when you don't. It is also very easy to get to PNC Park, Station Square, Southside Works or the famous Pittsburgh Inclines. Feel free to ask for directions for restaurants or local activities. There is a 24X7 gas stations close by and a Giant Eagle (grocery store) 5 mins on foot.
This apartment is located in a historic old building and has lot of character. There is a fully equipped gym and a stadium next door. If you are up for it, there is a the Three river running/biking trail that goes all the way to Washington DC. Whatever reason brings you to Pittsburgh, this is the perfect location to enjoy the best of what this city offers.
There is a bus stop right next to the house, which goes to the downtown and into the city or towards the universities. Every 5 minutes.

Anki was such a fantastic host and the place was so spacious. i loved the building and the neighborhood. The only drawback was the heating in the building; more often than not it was freezing in the guest bedroom.
Anki and Vibs are friendly and very helpful hosts. You have a big room and your own private bathroom. That´s pretty cool. The apartment is well located with a bus stop in front of the building, bars and restaurants are nearby. Downtown and the Consol Energy Center are just a short walking distance (20-30 minutes) away. The neighborhood is safe. I really can recommend staying there.
The hosts are nice, we really enjoyed the night
We only stayed one night. The place was fine not great not horrible. We were able to.get into the place fine and were able to chat with Anki in the morning. She was very nice and made us feel comfortable. A couple of small things - the trash was full on arrival, there was a safety pin on the floor to the bathroom that could have torn our feet up, the bed wasnt very comfortable and the heat kicked on at night making us wake in a sweat (she did acknowledge that something was weird with the heat and apologized). On a broght note, theres a french cafe right down the street that was superb!
The reservation was canceled 10 days before arrival. This is an automated posting.
Anki and Vibs were very accommodating and just nice people. It was a pleasure to stay with them. They live in a great neighborhood and in a converted high school. I would recommend anyone to stay with them.
Anki and Vibs were very welcoming and the room was just right. It's a little inconvenient to use public transportation in Pittsburgh so I recommend having a car or be prepared to take an hour to get to basically any other part of town. We were going to The Carnegie Museum Campus everyday and it was quite a hassle to get there. (Pittsburgh taxis are unreliable!) That's not really the fault of the hosts, it's just a inconvenience due to location. The building is an old school that's been converted and has a lot of charm, big windows, and great light. It seems the hosts like their apartment a warmer than most, which wasn't a huge problem, just something to be aware of. It seemed the windows in the room don't open. Definitely great accommodations for the price.
Great hosts. We saw Vibs during our stay. He was very accomodating - he even offered to pick us up from the Station Square train stop if we got back in to late. Great location - within walking distance of public transit, restaurants, bars, etc. Exactly as advertised. I would stay with them again and recommend them to anyone.
This is a perfect place to stay - the apartment is really spacious. modern and spotlessly clean. Really nice bedroom with own bathroom. Anki and her husband asre such wonderful hosts, really kind and interested to help. They took me on a night tour of the city when I arrived. And offered to collect me if I ever got stuck with transport. I used the buses which worked really well and its easy to get around. Great place to stay and lovely hosts.
My son had a great stay here while looking for housing in Pittsburgh. Anki and her husband were helpful and welcoming. Highly recommended.
