  • WOW the place was wonderful. AnneLouise was so helpful. Very very clean. Love the location. She made this place feel like home. Much better than staying at a hotel. Always very quiet. We will be back. I have been telling my co workers about the place and they are wanting to stay there too. Easy to get taxi or hop on hop off bus.

  • I spent my last four nights in Dublin here. AnneLouise was not staying there at the time but she met me at the apartment and showed me the ins and outs. Another woman was staying there and I enjoyed visiting with her off and on during my stay. I really enjoyed the apartment and the neighborhood. It was fairly close to all areas of the City I was interested in and I walked everywhere. At whatever time of the day or night I felt safe leaving and returning. At the end of the day with tired legs it was a treat to return to this welcoming nest. My room was small but adequate, warm and cozy!. I really enjoyed staying here and would recommend it highly.

  • Excellent situation in central Dublin in a nicely appointed appartment, very clean and tidy and perfect for a single female. I enjoyed my stay there.

  • A beautiful apartment with everything I needed in a very convenient location. The apartment was lovely and clean. Anne Louise was a great host and made sure I had everything I needed. I have no problem recommending this apartment to others.
    A first class experience.

  • I had a fantastic stay at Anne's place, not only was she an absolute gem to accept my incredibly late booking, the apartment itself was well located to all I wanted to see, tastefully decorated and extremely clean. It was a delight to have a bath for the first time in a year (blame the Aussie drought) and I really enjoyed making myself at home at her place. If you're ever in need of a place to stay in Dublin, I highly recommend seeing if Anne's apartment is available.

  • The flat is in a fantastic location, 5 mins walk from Dame St., and 10 mins from the centre of town. It is clean, safe, comfortable and has everything you need, internet, hot water, kitchen where you can cook if you want etc. I saw Anne Louise just twice when I was there, but she was warm and friendly and checked I had everything. Would recommend it.

  • There is something about AnneLouise's home that is so calming. I felt so comfortable and relaxed when there. She has thought of every little detail to make your stay special...from comfy bedding to delicious homemade bread.

It was great to meet AnneLouise and learn more about her neighborhood, Dublin, and Ireland in general. This stay was truly a treat, and I'm so happy I found it! Thank you!!

  • AnneLouise was very friendly and helpful.
. The apartment was sparkling clean and very comfortable. I would be happy to stay there again.!

    January 2014
  • I felt completely welcome by Anne Louise, who when faced with a cold ridden guest didn't blink just asked if I needed anything more. The apartment is lovely, amazingly clean and organised. It is in a very good location, walking distance from the heart of Dublin, whilst not being too close to be noisy. I would very much recommend Anne Louise and her apartment as a great place to stay.

About
Hi there. I love where I live - right in the heart of the bustling artistic quarter of Francis street with its art galleries, craft and antique shops. I've lived in Australia and the West of Ireland and Dublin is home for now. Friends have said that my apartment reflects my personality and I have enjoyed decorating it with new and recycled furniture which I've painted to create a bright and airy living space full of character. Most of the photographs, books and furniture which I have in the apartment have a story behind them - for example the wooden chairs with the rush weaved seating came from nearby historic Christchurch Cathedral when they were restoring its interior. I recently bought the red footstool, still in great condition with its original 1950s upholstery in a great local flea market just around the corner ((website hidden)). I've traveled quite a bit - during my 20s I went to Asia, America, New Zealand, Australia and South America. In my 30s I've mainly gone to places in Europe for sun and ski holidays and also cities such as Paris, Berlin and most recently Helsinki. Some trips I've traveled with friends and other times on my own. I know what I like to find when I'm looking for somewhere to stay - somewhere that's in a good location, in a not-too-touristy area but one that has character, interesting shops, cool cafes etc. It also has to be bright and clean where I can also chill out after a day's exploring before going out to a bar, play or music gig. I also notice things like nice soap in the bathroom and a proper hairdryer! I have thought about things I like when staying somewhere and have recreated this in my apartment. I'll be happy to give you tips and pointers on where to go, what to see and what's on and I have lots of recommendations on quirky shops and other places to go to to make your stay in Dublin a bit different. I like cooking, baking, reading and music and go running along the canal or in the nearby Phoenix Park. I cycle most places locally and sometimes a bit further afield out to the coast at Dun Laoghaire to take a swim in the Irish sea (yes, it's cold!!).
