The Space

OUR HOUSE. Live like a local in a Brooklyn warehouse, conveniently located near Manhattan and Brooklyn’s most famous streets and nightlife. We are Kelly and Tolga — two nice, easy-going best buds, architect and chef — and we live in an apartment in the house, separate from the private guest apartment.

Rent a comfortably-sized, private and secure room in the second floor apartment dedicated to the bed and breakfast. You'll be sharing the house with friendly open-minded New Yorkers who work and live in the city and will happily guide you to spots you might not find on your own. The warehouse features plenty of indoor and outdoor hangout and quiet space for your nights in.

On the ground floor, below the bed and breakfast apartment, is our vibrant art space, Splatterpool — where we hold periodic art exhibits and performances. Our guests have enjoyed the steady flow of friendly and creative energy that this brings into our home. Check out our website for past and upcoming events, which you will be welcome to attend!

OUR NEIGHBORHOOD. The Williamsburg-Greenpoint area is undeniably the most dynamic neighborhood in New York City today. Here you will find the best and most current restaurants, bars and music venues. Our house lies at the crossroads of a few neighborhood hubs where the youth culture and locals mix well with a positive and friendly vibe. Best of all, we are located close to three of the first Brooklyn stops on the L train, which takes you to directly to Union Square in a matter of minutes — for your days of exploring in the big city.

  • We had a great time, loved the mattress, slept really well and had very friendly and helpful flatmates! We can really recommend the place and it is close to different subway stations. So all really good! Thanks for having us, we will be back if we come to New York again!

  • We stayed 1 week at Kelly and Tolga's place. It was great! They are very nice and sweet hosts who made us feel really at home. The neighborhood is nice with many cafes, little restaurants and shops nearby. The place is really spacious, with a big well equipped living and cooking area, which we shared only with the guest in the second room. The room is small but has enough space to store things. Clean and fresh Towels and bedsheets were prepared. Shower is hot. The whole place is gemütlich, little worn and very New York like. We felt completely independent and so as if we had our own apartment in NY. We would not recommend it to someone who is very particular about general cleanliness.

  • Kelly and Tolga are great hosts, awesome people, and have created a very nice place for visitors to stay.
The warehouse is conveniently located as described.
Pictures are as they appear, comfortable, clean, and simple.

  • Kelly and Tolga were really great hosts. The apartment had everything we needed, good location, close to 3 different subway stations, safe neighbourhood. Shops, bars and restaurants all a stones throw away. Didn't take advantage of the roof terrace but bet it's a great place to sit when it's warmer. Nice hot shower! Spacious shared living area with everything you could need. Both Kelly and Tolga were more than helpful and super nice. You should absolutely stay here. It's a steal! Jimmy's diner around the corner is also an amazing place to eat if you want real American food! Xx

  • nice room in williamsburg. tolga was very kind in helping to make the room warmer (we had a huge winterstorm with lots of snow).

  • I stayed at the Good Iron House for a week. Tolga was very welcoming and friendly, we hung out on my first day and shared a few beers. He was very helpful showing me around the neighborhood.
The place itself is large, warm and has a lot of natural light, and basically everything you need for day to day. Perfect for short term!

  • Enjoyed the unique and beautiful loftstyle apartment. Very nice host. Brooklyn at it's best. Hopefully my older daughter willl get the chance to stay there in March this year ... I loved to climb out of the window in the kitchen to enter the rooftop terrace ... only can recommend this location!!

  • The best place to stay in Greenpoint! Close to cafes and shops and so easy to get around the apartment is so tastefully decorated and comfortable! I stayed three nights but wished I could have much longer there. Will definitely return and tell everyone travelling through to stay here. Tolga was great really friendly and helpful it felt like home.
