Beautiful apartment with everything we needed and more! The ceiling fan was more than enough to cool the room and we had a very comfortable, enjoyable stay.
We arrived in Tavarnelle by bus, from Florence, with the intention of locating a taxi in the town - however, there are none (just in case you were planning on doing the same)! We were gratefully rescued by Susanna's daughter, Margherita - thank you so much!
We would definitely stay here again, the views are beautiful, the swimming pool superb, and the location idyllic. Completely away from hustle and bustle, yet only a 30-40 minute walk to the nearest town which has everything you need: supermarket, cafés, bakery, fruit and veg shop etc.
Perfect place for a relaxing break - we truly cleansed our souls, amongst the vineyards and olive groves.
Grazia a hundred times!
Notre hôte était le fils de Susanne il s'est montré disponible pour toutes questions. L'endroit est bien situé car près de Florence tout en étant dans un cadre enchanteur. À recommander sans faute.
Susanna is an amazing host, full of recommendations for where to go out, what to eat, what to do...she is really helpful and attentive.
The flat is decorated in a typical rustic Tuscany style that gives you a truly homey feeling. The bed is comfortable, the bathroom is clean, the kitchen well equipped. You get your own little balcony/terrace where you can enjoy a glass of Chianti. Amazing!
The pool area is shared with other guests, but it's big enough, so its's not a problem. And the views from the pool are charming!
Thank you Susanna for a great experience in Tuscany.. hope to be back someday... :)
We use airbnb ALL THE TIME for both work and vacation and we feel that airbnb offers an experience unlike any stuffy hotel. This was absolutely the case with Susanna and Giorgio's rental in Noce, a small charming apartment in an adorable little town in the heart of Tuscany wine country. My husband and I went back and forth a few times before booking because we weren't sure if we would want to stay closer to the city but honestly this ended up being one of the best airbnb experiences we have ever had. We rented a car in Florence and drove which we would highly recommend as it was so fun to have our car there so we could see the beautiful town, eat at some of the amazing restaurants and of course check out the sights and some local wineries (highly recommend making reservations for a tour at Castello di Verrazano, about 30 minutes from the rental). But that was hardly our favorite part - We really loved spending time with our gracious hosts Susanna and Giorgio! One night Susanna set up a cooking class for us - it was literally all I dreamed it would be and more. Imagine learning family recipes from the sweetest woman on the planet in her kitchen which overlooks their gardens and the most amazing Tuscany wine country view. We picked vegetables and fruit and herbs from her garden as the sun set and once we had cooked it, Susanna put the final preparations together and served us our meal on the back terrace. It was one of the most incredible experiences of our life and we have been to some pretty amazing restaurants! The next day Giorgio set up a full-day wine tour that included a stop in a local castle village and one of the most amazing wineries we've ever been to (and we used to live near Napa Valley so that's saying a lot!) - we actually ended up buying a case of wine to ship back to the states it was so good (but nothing was as good as the wine Giorgio makes himself!) Overall our experience left us feeling so grateful to have met Susanna and Giorgio for they truly opened their home and hearts to us. We miss them already and recommend that anyone stay here if you truly want an authentic Italian Tuscany experience!
Beautiful flat and pool area was lovely. We had an amazing time as it suited us because we were looking for somewhere really peaceful. It is quite remote so I wouldn't advise it as somewhere to go without a car. The local town is quite quiet but has a decent sized supermarket.
Charmant loft avec un accueil exceptionnel et chaleureux!!! La vue est superbe et tout est très propre!!! Au plaisir d'y retourner!!! Gracie mile!!!
Susanna was very welcoming and opened her home up to us. She gave us a map of the area and her best recommendations for sight seeing. The room was comfortable with a lot of space, great views and a lovely private porch. It was quite hot but then there was a heat wave whilst we were there so the pool was a huge plus! ( awesome views from there too!) Ask for a bottle of the Poderinchianti wine , you will not be dissappointed!! Susanna also gave us a tester of her homemade pate.. Wow!!
