Interaction with Guests
As much as they want us to. Some guests come to visit while others we never meet. We don't intrude on guests who come for the peace and quiet.
Beautiful scenery, quiet roadways that are great for biking, and the abundance of outdoor things to do.
Guests will need their own transportation. Pickups at airports and train/bus stations can be arranged.
We just ask that guests leave the premises in basically the same condition that they found it. Pet owners are expected to pick up after their dogs. No smoking indoors. The state of Maine requires we charge 8% rooms tax. The tax is not included in the Airbnb rate and will have to be collected directly from guests. There is an additional charge of $ 20 per night for each additional bed used.
Cabin was great, clean and adorable. Kevin and Teresa were great hosts available if necessary but not too encroaching on our experience. I would definitely stay here again.
My friends and I came for a few days while visiting a local camp, and we had an amazing time! The hosts were very welcoming, and the cabin was so lovely to stay in. Thank you again for having us!
We loved our stay at this cabin, and I recommend it to anyone without reservation!
The property itself is wonderfully charming, both inside and outside the home. As previous posters have mentioned, the photos don't quite do justice to the layout. The cabin has s two-floor design, built to be a self-sufficient space for a single couple upstairs (kitchen, dining, living, master bedroom, bathroom, and patio) with additional bedrooms and laundry downstairs. The net effect is that the cabin can easily accommodate larger parties, but is also cozy for just one or two people. The house has good amount of character, but is also relatively new and comes with most modern conveniences one might want (wifi, a/c, laundry, etc.). And it's exceptionally well stocked -- I'm used to having to bring along/restock basic supplies when I stay someplace for a week, but everything here was set the moment we arrived.
The yard space is also gorgeous -- deeply secluded and filled with trees and wild berries. There's a creek that runs through the property, and a fire pit just outside the home. It's a good distance from the main house -- close enough to call on Kevin or Theresa with any questions or requests, but with enough greenery that the home still feels completely private.
Finally, Kevin and Theresa themselves were absolutely lovely hosts. They were warm and welcoming, happy to make recommendations or to fix any problems that might arise, while also respecting our privacy. They even offered to let us pick herbs from their garden and to borrow their bikes for an afternoon, which was really generous. I'm grateful to them for a great vacation, and wouldn't think twice about staying with them again!
Hi Ana and Greg,
Thank you for your wonderful review --I couldn't have done better myself. So glad you enjoyed yourselves and took advantage of the surrounding property for walks, etc. If you ever come again try to visit in late July/early August when we will much more than herbs available in our gardens. We plant an extra large garden just for that purpose and especially enjoy it when families with children pick produce. We were amazed that many times the kids had no idea how a carrot, beet, asparagus etc. grow.

My company and I had a great time up north for the July 4th weekend in Kevin and Theresas cabin. It offered the basic necessities and the privacy one could only want, especially during such a busy holiday weekend. They made it aware that they could be available, just a phone call away. A really charming location nestled in what is generally a bustling travel destination. I do hope to continue such a trip annually and will be thinking of this listing in particular.
Thank you for your kind review and happy to hear you enjoyed your stay with us. Thank you for leaving the cabin so clean and tidy. Also thank you for all the goodies you left in the fridge. Look forward to having you as our guests again.
Kevin and Theresa
We had a great time at Kevin and Theresa's cabin, it's a beautiful and cozy place and Kevin was available at all times and more than helpful to us.
The cabin was everything we hoped it would be and more. It was clean, cozy, and inviting. The kitchen was well-equipped with everything we needed to make our meals, and the gas grill on the back deck was awesome. We loved the deck overlook, the gas fireplace, the secluded setting, the decor, etc. We only used the upstairs since it was just the two of us, but the cabin would easily fit a larger family. The location, just over the NH/ME border in ME, was perfect for us. We loved the drive from the cabin to North Conway. Although the cabin wasn't right in town, it WAS secluded and that was what we were after in our weekend getaway. We were close enough to town to go there for a visit, but we were far enough away to feel like we were really getting away from it all. We hope to go back soon!
Hi Jennifer and Tyler,
Thank you for that glowing review. Glad you enjoyed our cabin. We have friends and family coming up this weekend from New York and they always want to stay in the cabin, I guess for the same reasons you liked it. Hope to see you (and Gigi) again
We were looking for a quiet, rural area and we found it! It is a bit off the beaten path but we were able to enjoy the Kangamangus highway and North Conway. The cabin is very spacious and clean. We had a relaxed, fun weekend. My boyfriend loved the fire pit. My only complaint was the grill was unusable - very rusty.

About the Host, Kevin And Theresa
We are native New Yorkers who moved to New England in the early '70's and love the tranquility and space our farm affords. We have been hosting guests for over 25 years now - first in our bed and breakfast home and then renovated a small cottage and finally built a log cabin to accommodate the larger number of guests coming to the area . We enjoy the seasonal changes and are extremely active in the outdoors -- biking, hiking, snowshoeing, canoeing. horseback riding -- so we can provide great information about those activities for our guests. Also own a sailboat on which we've sailed to the Caribbean and all along the east coast of US. Theresa is licensed massage therapist, Rieki and esoteric healing practitioner and many guests avail themselves of her skills. We love to travel and usually head to warmer climates during the winter months while others look after our property. Our destinations have included Africa, Thailand, Argentina, Peru, Chile and Venezuela and others. We enjoying relating our travel experiences to our guests and hearing about theirs -indeed we have traveled to several locations based on the recommendations of our guests.
