Awesome location, amazingly clean, below pricing for the area. You will not want to spend time in the apartment when you are so close to Chicago's famous sights, dining, and nightlife.
This is an extremely clean 2 Bedroom condo with a quiet courtyard to relax in. We are close to Downtown shopping, Lincoln Park, and North Ave beach. You can walk to public transportation and restaurants. It is minutes to Chicago's famous Rush street, Magnificent Mlle, and Lincoln Park Zoo. For those with a car, the Interstate is less than a mile away. Travel times to the airports are 20 minutes for Midway and 35 minutes O'Hare. Allow extra time for rush hour.
There are two bedrooms each with a comfortable Queen bed, a living room with fireplace, cable TV, and wireless Internet, a dining room, and a fully equipped kitchen (refrigerator, stove, dishwasher, microwave, toaster oven, cooking utensils, and dishes). Every room has individual heater and air conditioning units.
Added building amenities include indoor parking at $20/day (arranged with the building through the host separately from your Airbnb reservation), a laundry room with washers and dryers, and the famous Hash Brown restaurant serving breakfast and lunch.
This is a great alternative to expensive downtown hotels. Whether you stay for the 4 day minimum, a month, or extended corporate assignments, you will find more room at less cost.
Interaction with Guests
I personally meet every guest on check-in to make sure the accommodations are to your expectations and to answer questions. I am also available throughout your stay by phone, email, text, and Airbnb.
This is a very active neighborhood with plenty of restaurants, shopping, night life, and places to visit. All are within walking distance or a short ride by public transportation.
The subway and bus stops are 1 to 2 blocks away. Taxi cabs can be flagged down at all times.
Other Things to Note
This where I give the disclosures. (1) Chicago imposes a 4.5% tax on vacation rentals. This is not reflected in the price and will be added on booking. (2) The building does not have an elevator. The condo is 2 flights of stairs from street level.
We have very few but common sense rules. (1) Check-In is at 4:00 PM and Check-Out is no later than 11:00 AM. Since I personally meet you for check in, please make arrangements if you cannot coordinate with those times. (2) This is a NO SMOKING building. The condo owners are fined $50 if they or their guests smoke anywhere in the building (common areas or apartments). The fine, of course, will be passed on to you. $50 WILL BE TAKEN FROM YOU SECURITY DEPOSIT if you smoke in the condo or the building. (3) Be considerate of your neighbors in the building such as no late night blaring music. (4) Clean up after yourself in common areas as well as in the apartment. (5) I do not allow pets in the condo unless it is a service dog. (6) Take advantage of our wonderful city!
