# Room re-opened again for 2014 #

Hi, we are Ian and Laura,

We invite you to come and have an enjoyable stay in Dublin with two primary school teachers!

We were both born and raised in Dublin so we can tell you everything you need to know about our great city. We can also tell you the best places for tourists to visit in and around Dublin. If we have time we might even be able to bring you for a nice pint of Guinness!!

We are located in Blanchardstown, which is about 30 minutes by bus to the city centre. The buses come very regularly.

You will have your own private double room. We have high speed wi-fi, large screen TV and parking. We are located very close to the Phoenix Park, the M50 and the Blanchardstown Shopping Centre. The Blanchardstown Shopping Centre is a ten minute walk from our house and is one of Ireland's biggest shopping malls with numerous stores, restaurants, coffee shops, cinema, bowling, etc.

Depending on the time of your arrival, airport pick-up may be possible - it depends if we are working or not. We will always try our best to pick up our guests.

A breakfast of cereal and tea/coffee/toast will be available for free to all guests who come to stay with us.

We look forward to seeing you soon!

  • Ian and Laura were genuinely nice and helpful from the start with all the arrangements until the end, as they welcomed my parents for a 2 nights stay, a true Irish welcome! my parents were delighted with the room they got, and the bathroom that goes with it... a well deserved spot in the Airbnb community..

  • Ian & Laura were our first ever guests with AirBNB, and we can say we were really delighted. They were so kind with us, and everything was made to let us enjoy our stay, which we did !

We went for a drink in the evening and it was really nice, the only "bad" thing was we had to leave already :) Looking forward to seeing them again soon !

In a nutshell, it was comfortable, quiet, and cheap ! Thanks for everything folks. See you soon ☺

  • Ian and Laura were wonderful and welcoming. Their home was comfortable and they were always checking to make sure we didn't need anything, my sister and I felt at home. Ian even got up really early on a Saturday to pick us up from the ferry, and woke up early again to drop us off. We would definitely stay with them again.

  • Greatest hosts ever! Ian and Laura were so hospitable and went above and beyond helping us out! We had many changes in our arrival time and they were so understanding and greeted us at the ferry port very late at night. They made us feel so at home and comfortable. Accommodation was great, had such wonderful sleeps each night! Didn't want to leave! Great first experience with AirBnB, hope to visit them again in the near future! Can't say enough good things about them! If you are concerned about the location, don't be! Easy bus ride into town and also lots going on in the surrounding area! Ian also gave us a ride into Dublin and dropped us off right at the city center!

  • Ian and Laura were the perfect hosts! Anyone who has the opportunity to stay here is incredibly lucky, as you are immediately made to feel welcome and at home. The house is lovely and very comfortable. Not only did they entertain us with great conversation, but they have kept in touch since to see how our trip has progressed. We were very sad to leave these genuinely lovely people.

  • My friend Troy and I had an amazing experience staying with Ian and Laura! Ian very kindly retrieved us from the airport and immediately made us feel right at home. They were incredibly welcoming and willing to help us in any way they could, even taking the bus downtown with us to make sure we got there safely. The space itself was cozy, clean, and comfortable and we even had our own bathroom. Overall, a fantastic stay with two truly kind people! I would highly recommend staying with Ian and Laura, especially if you are looking for the true Dublin experience!

  • Ian was great, and the two of them were easily our favorite hosts of our trip (and we had 5 others). They're both teachers, so we had to kill a little time when we got into Dublin before we could get picked up by them, but Ian gave us fair warning about that and we arranged a smooth pickup. He went above and beyond in helping us get around and even gave us a few rides, which was really helpful. We enjoyed their company, and we really wish we could have spent more time with them. Our only complaint that kept it from being a perfect stay was the lack of heat. They run their boiler on a schedule, which is totally fine, but that made for some chilly nights, and we did wind up taking cold showers our first morning because the boiler hadn't been running enough. However, they were very apologetic and made sure that the issue was resolved for the next morning. Make sure you double check how to disarm the house alarm, since we accidentally set that off during our stay (my fault)! Would definitely stay with them again!

I'm a 30 year old primary school teacher. I teach in a school in the city centre, so I can offer early morning lifts in to the city centre every Monday - Friday during the school term. I love keeping fit and I play a lot of football. I also enjoy jogging and going to the gym. Laura is 26, and she is a primary school teacher in Finglas. She is also a qualified ballet teacher and loves all sort of dance/music. She also enjoys keeping fit and jogging. We both love meeting new people and travelling. We have travelled all over Europe, and have been to many parts of Asia and North America. We also enjoy socialising at the weekends and going for a drink or two! Finally, we both like to read when we get a chance. We love the idea of airbnb and we want to help tourists discover Dublin. We are willing to help you in whatever way we can and point you in the right direction! Safe Travels, Ian and Laura
