Hi, we are Ian and Laura,
We invite you to come and have an enjoyable stay in Dublin with two primary school teachers!
We were both born and raised in Dublin so we can tell you everything you need to know about our great city. We can also tell you the best places for tourists to visit in and around Dublin. If we have time we might even be able to bring you for a nice pint of Guinness!!
We are located in Blanchardstown, which is about 30 minutes by bus to the city centre. The buses come very regularly.
You will have your own private double room and private bathroom. We have high speed wi-fi, large screen TV and parking. We are located very close to the Phoenix Park, the M50 and the Blanchardstown Shopping Centre. The Blanchardstown Shopping Centre is a ten minute walk from our house and is one of Ireland's biggest shopping malls with numerous stores, restaurants, coffee shops, cinema, bowling, etc.
Depending on the time of your arrival, airport pick-up may be possible - it depends if we are working or not. We will always try our best to pick up our guests.
A breakfast of cereal and tea/coffee/toast will be available for free to all guests who come to stay with us.
We look forward to seeing you soon!
Ian and Laura
Ian and Laura were amazing, generous, enthusiastic hosts. They were kind enough to go out of their way to pick us up from the airport (from two separate flights several hours apart!) and to drop us off again at the end of the trip. The house is lovely: very clean, very pretty, and fully stocked with kitchen supplies, shampoo, towels, etc. The pictures on the listing are very accurate.
Ian gave us a great introduction to the city by pointing things out on the map (there are many available on the desk in the room) and by showing us how to work the public transportation system, even providing a Leap Card (you reimburse them at the end), which is much more convenient and cheaper than cash. The bus takes you right into the city center.
The neighborhood is quiet and safe and there are shops and grocery stores within easy walking distance.
The bathroom is well taken care of, right outside the room, and used only by the guests.
We felt completely at home and were very impressed! Thank you so much Ian and Laura!
Ian and Laura were perfect hosts. They made us feel like at home, helping and indicating what nice things we could do. Also it's nice to speak with them because they are friendly and funny.
The price is really cheap because, we think, they enjoy being hosts :)
We had our first experience with airbnb with them and if everyone is like them we discovered a really nice way to travel!
We had wunderfull days in Ireland. We meet much fine and friendly people but the most kindly two persons were Ian and laura. Thank you so much for living in your house and for all the things you gave
and you've done for us.
Ian and Laura were amazing hosts. Ian was kind enough to drive us to our destinations that we wanted to visit, as well as dropping us off at the airport! Both were very welcoming and made us feel right at home.
The place is lovely - a really nice room with a very comfy bed. Breakfast was anything we fancied from the kitchen downstairs which was kind of them.
The location is great! It is one bus straight to the centre of town that takes about 20 minutes and the Nitelink bus runs all through the night, so you can stay in town as long as you like.
Overall a great experience. Ian and Laura made Dublin feel so accessible and we are now wanting to go back!
I came to Dublin to study and I stayed with Ian and Laura for one whole month until I found a definitive place to stay. During this period they both welcomed me very kindly and always helping whenever I needed. The house is cozy and the room has everything I needed: a lot of space, a desk to work and privacy.
I recommend them to anyone looking for a nice airbnb experience: comfort, fair price and a lovely culture exchange.
Ian and Laura were great! They provided everything you'd need. They're super friendly and fun to chat with. They let us borrow a bus pass to get to the city center (you of course pay back whatever you use on it). They picked us up and dropped us off at the airport. There are a bunch of guide books in the room, of the area. The room was nice, and there's a private bathroom right next to it.
Ian and Laura were wonderful hosts. They made us feel completely welcome and offered any advice we needed about Dublin. Would definitely recommend staying with them!
I'm a 31 year old primary school teacher. I teach in a school in the city centre, so I can offer early morning lifts in to the city centre every Monday - Friday during the school term. I love keeping fit and I play a lot of football. I also enjoy jogging and going to the gym.
Laura is 27, and she is a primary school teacher in Finglas. She is also a qualified ballet teacher and loves all sort of dance/music. She also enjoys keeping fit and jogging.
We both love meeting new people and travelling. We have travelled all over Europe, and have been to many parts of Asia and North America. We also enjoy socialising at the weekends and going for a drink or two! Finally, we both like to read when we get a chance.
We love the idea of airbnb and we want to help tourists discover Dublin. We are willing to help you in whatever way we can and point you in the right direction!
