Cozy room with private bathroom

Apartment - Private room · Lungarno dei Pioppi, Florence, Tuscany 50142, Italy

Our apartment is just a few blocks away from the nearest tram station, we get to be in the city without the turmoil and noise! The room has its own entrance from the rear and an ensuite bathroom full of towels and toiletries. Try it!

The Space

The room we're renting can accommodate 1 person or 2 very in love people. The bed is an IKEA couch/bed and it's 120cm (48') wide. The room is tiny but the bed is quite comfy and you get all the necessary space you need for your stuff (besides, there's also the rest of the house for that). We don't provide breakfast but there are a few venues (Martynez is the poshest one) that serve cappuccino, espresso, croissants and salty treats.

Guest Access

You have access to our rear area which can be quite nice during the summer. You have your own private access to the house so, basically, if you wish to have a lot of privacy you don't even have to leave your room. Of course you can use the kitchen and the washing machine (especially long-distance travellers).

Interaction with Guests

I like to interact with my guests, that's the primary reason why I'm on airbnb!! I love to give information about my city and the area I live in. I think Florence is a wonderful little town and I'm both proud and happy that so many people come to visit every year.

The Neighborhood

Isolotto is a relatevily new area of the city. It was built in the 1950s by mayor LaPira. Today a lot of families live here, the area is very green and it's just a step away from the Cascine park: an ideal spot to relax, drink a beer, take a walk or go skating. The centre is still very close, just 25 minutes on foot. In the morning you hear birds tweeting out of the window and the room you'll stay in is showered with light in the afternoon.

Getting around

Yes! The tram station is 5 minutes away and that's the most used means of transport. But you can also walk to the city centre, it only takes 25 minutes and the walk is priceless (in more than one sense)

Other Things to Note

We have wi-fi access and no animals (we're allergic to pets' hairs). We like to have a glass of wine and a good meal (in this order!)

Overall Guest Satisfaction

Check In
  • Fabrizio and Filippo are very special hosts always helpful. The accommodation is perfect, really quite, with a private access, an en suite bathroom and an easy parking. With a pleasant walk along the river you can reach the centre of Florence or go by tram (5 minutes away). Great thumb up!

  • Fabrizio was a great host! I arrived a bit late at night on New Years Eve but he was there and welcomed me with details on the room/house and information on traveling around Florence. Even though we were only there for 1 night, the location was quiet and calm but also close enough to the centre of Florence by public. The tramway was only a 5 minute walk from the apartment. I would definitely recommend this room to anyone who wants to visit Florence! Thank you!

  • My Wife and I had a great time here! The room and ensuite were very clean and cozy. Fabrizio was a great host eager to help us with anything we wanted to know about Florence. The location was great, away from the noise of the city center, but an easy and short tram ride in when we wanted to explore. I think it took us about 5 minutes to get from the flat to Firenze S.M.N. I definitely recommend staying here if you're traveling to Florence.

I had a great time too! And remember: keep traveling!!! Oh, I found a little padlock, is it yours???

  • Fabrizio was an excellent host! He was extremely generous, kind, and full of excitement for our stay as he welcomed us as if we were old friends. He took the time to suggest places to go and the "must sees" of the area. His place was exactly as described with a great book collection! He thought of everything for guests to feel comfortable and welcome. The location is perfect and the commute was easy. Thank you for a lovely time Fabrizio!!

And you were a great company! Much luck on your newly started school!! :D

  • The room looked exactly like on the photos. There are a lot of interesting books. It's a pity that we haven't time to watch it. Fabrizio is very cheerful guy and everything was very pleasant and comfortable.

  • Fabrizio and Phillip are wonderful people and hosts!
We really enjoyed the time with them. They are funny, sophisticated and they BOTH talk very well English.
We had a lot of good talks with them and they recommended us a lot of good insider tips.
Their room is clean, beautiful furnished and the ensuite bathroom is very practical.
We also had our own entrance through the backyard which was also very practical.
The bed is also big enough for a couple.
The location is quite good. 5 min away (on foot) you can take the tram to the central station/city centre (quite cheap, 1,20€ for a ticket), so you are in 15 minutes in the centre. But you can also walk along the river which takes 40 minutes into the centre with a great view on the city.
I would totally recommend their room!

Great guests make a great host! Thank you!

  • We loved our stay at Fabricio's place! The room was lovely, cosy and very clean. Having our own bathroom and entrance from the backyard was very convenient when coming back in the night. The house is located in a beautiful quiet area just a few tram stops away from the city centre. Fabricio was really helpful and gave us the best advice we could get from a local Florentine, thanks to him we spent a great night out at the places he recommended.

  • Fabrizio is a funny and chill guy who would make you feel very welcome at his home. The suite is very comfortable and clean. The bathroom was stocked up with toiletries and towels, the shower was awesome.

The location is good for someone who doesn't want to be in a noisy touristy area like Florence downtown. It is within 10 min walk to three tram stations (all along the same and only tram in Florence that takes you straight downtown). The furtherest one takes you downtown in about 9 minutes.

I highly recommend Fabrizio's suite to any singletons looking for privacy and comfort while in Florence.

Hello everybody! I'm a very outgoing person and I enjoy people's company. I'm an English teacher and also a translator. I speak Italian (of course!), English, Spanish and French. I love my house, it's in this area of Florence called Isolotto which is very green and almost village-like. There's an open air market for fruit and vegetables, a few primary and secondary shools and just over the "passerella" (an only-pedestrian bridge) there's the Cascine park: a wonderful area where concerts, festivals and parties are held in the summer. I like travelling (like you, I guess), I've been to England, Spain, Greece, France, the US, and I think that travelling is a great way to know other people and be aware of our differencies and similarities. An important part of my life is food. I love pasta, pizza and potatoes, yeah, quite fatty these days... what do you like?
