I keep the spacious studio apartment clean and minimalist. It has lovely brick walls and large windows and faces the street. The street, West 69th Street, is very quiet and residential. But the neighborhood is lively!

The space

My apartment is located in the hub of the Upper West Side, a few minutes walk to Central Park, Lincoln Center, movie theaters, dance, ballet, music, and cafes lining Columbus Avenue.

The apartment is a large studio with a spacious vibe. I keep it clean and uncluttered. The street is residential and quiet. The building is also very quiet and quaint.

I am literally a one minute walk to the entrance of Central Park.

The apartment is on the third floor of a stylish pre-war walkup brownstone building. It's clearly labeled Apartment 3F (not the one on the top of the steps; it's the other apartment!). I will be there to let you in, or have a friend do so if I'm away.

Neighborhood has a fine assortment of restaurants, supermarkets, clothing stories, and the Natural History Museum is only a 800 meters away.

Central Park and Riverside Park are great for running and biking. The East Side museums, like the Guggenheim and the MET, are just across town. About 2 Kilometers (1.2 miles) away. About a 20 minute walk.

Uptown and downtown subway/metro stations are just a few blocks away.

The apartment is charming with brick walls.

Please note: There is a loft bed best suited for a child or young adult. The apartment is best for a single or couple, or a couple with one small child.

Please also note: there is no smoking in the apartment; no pets are permitted in the building; and my television service is limited to local channels. But the Internet (and printer) work great and I just bought a hair-dryer.

You will not be sharing this apartment with anyone. It is yours when you book it! I will make arrangements with you to get the keys.

The nightly fee includes electricity/ heating and internet. I don't require a deposit. But I do ask for a $75 cleaning fee, regardless of length of stay, so I can have the place professionally cleaned before and after your stay.

Check in/ check out: Please note... Guests should check out by 11 a.m; check in is at 3pm. On days when another guest is not arriving, I will be flexible with check in and check out times.

Guest access

I will provide keys for guests, and make sure they're clear how to use them.

Interaction with guests

I will be available via email and phone throughout your stay.

Other things to note

I'm a New Yorker; I'd be happy to make suggestions of things to see prior to or upon your arrival.

This was a great place for us. It is very close to Central Park and we could easily walk to the Metropolitan Museum, the Frick collection, the Museum of Natural History, Lincoln Center and a whole lot of restaurants. The apartment is a studio that was big enough and had everything we needed. Don't expect elegance. It reminds me of a bachelor's pad, but it is comfortable and at a very good price. The neighborhood is quiet and very safe. Charlie is extremely accommodating and friendly. My wife and I would be happy to stay there again on our next cultural trip to New York.

we liked very much the location, street, neighborhood and closeness to central park, the subways, Lincoln Center and the upper west side restaurants.

Charlie communicated early and often. In fact, he met us on the steps of his apartment building; he also communicated with us toward the end of our stay about how to best close up his apartment. Charlie's studio is ideally located--very near Central Park, near the 72nd Street subway entrance, near two CitiBike stations, near two great coffee spots, not too far from Fairway Market or Trader Joe's, and an easy bike ride to the Hudson River Greenway or Times Square.

Charlie was a gracious host. We were a little late in arriving and he flexed to accommodate us. The location really is fantastic. 1 block from subway and steps from Central Park. I hope that others get to enjoy his wonderful studio apartment.
