It was a nice stay in Sophie's apartment. The room is clean and lot of natural light from the glass doors. The location is very good, walking distance from the station, city centre and restaurants. Sophie and her husband are very polite and friendly and their daughter is very sweet.
HOME THAT OUR FEET MAY LEAVE BUT NOT OUR HEARTS!!
We absolutely adored our time in Nice and had a wonderful experience staying in Sophie’s apartment.
It is situated just 20 minutes from Cote D Azur airport and there is bus service (bus no. 99) from airport to nearby area to the apartment from where the place is just 5 minutes walking away. It is indeed in the heart of nice which after wandering through most of the city is my favourite part of Nice.
There was a train station- Gare De Nice Ville just 10 minutes away from the apartment and Tram Station- Gare De Thiers just 15 minutes away from the apartment. Having proximity to the transport stations made our stay worthwhile as we could easily get onto the Tram and go anywhere in Nice. The city centre was also very nearby to the apartment. Nice being not a big city, we almost covered the entire town by walking on the streets. Probably that’s the fun to explore the city!!
As posted on Airbnb the apartment is just a bedroom and bathroom but we were free to use Sophie’s kitchen. Bedroom was very spacious, elegant and most importantly clean, comfortable and well decorated. And not to miss, the bedroom has a small cute balcony with a table and chairs for having breakfast in the morning.
Sophie’s kitchen was very spacious and we were free to use her kitchen. She gave us breakfast every morning which was very sweet on her behalf.
Sophie, her husband and their cute little daughter is a wonderful family. We arrived late at night due to flight delays but Sophie was cordial enough to wait for us and was very flexible & understanding. We were not charged for late check in. Sophie gave us a warm welcome and next day morning we met her husband who was equally warm and he even offered wine/ drinks to us. They had a guinea pig called, Saha, who was adorable.
But the most charming was Sophie’s daughter. She was so adorable and always got excited whenever we went back home. They were so warm that we almost felt like we are staying with our own family.
We will surely stay at Sophie’s apartment whenever we visit Nice next.
So guys if you really want to make your stay worthwhile in Nice then we would not only highly recommend but rather force you to stay at Sophie’s apartment.
Thanks for everything Sophie… !
Sophie, the owner of the flat, was very attentive and welcoming. Once we got in the place, we phoned her to tell her we are waiting outside the door and she immediately went home from work to meet us. We later met her husband who is also very nice and their lovely daughter and cute guinea pig. The flat is in 3rd floor of the building. There was no lift but it was okay for us. The room was amazing as it has a balcony and it was big enough for us. We had the bathroom and toilet to ourselves. We had to keep the balcony doors open as it was warm inside the room so the noise from the road/cars is very audible although that did not bother us at all. She allowed us to use their kitchen and utensils too. They were out during day time so we only say hi to each other in the evening but we were too tired from touring so our chat did not take very long. The neighbourhood is good. We felt safe walking home in the night. There was a small grocery shop just in the corner and there was also a boulangerie/pattisserie 3 minutes away. The bus stops to and from the airport (Thiers-Gambeta stop of Bus 99) were only 5 minutes walk from the place. The Gare/Train Station is 1 km away but that did not bother us. Overall, we enjoyed our stay in Sophie's place and would recommend it! :)
We had a great time staying with Sophie and Goran while we were in Nice. They couldn't have been any more welcoming and always invited us to eat with them. We really enjoyed getting to know them a bit and had some good laughs! The room was great too, it was lovely to have our own space and a balcony to ourselves. We had a great time and would definitely recommend staying there!
Sophie was a wonderful host. She was caring and always asked if we want to eat dinner with them.
About the Host, Sophie
