Ross was a fantastic host- the casita was clean, orderly, quiet, and had everything that we needed for our stay. The location is fantastic (convenient to walk to downtown, campus, and 4th Ave), and the shared patio area is wonderful for relaxing and enjoying the weather. We hope to come back on our next trip to Tucson!
Had a fantastic stay at the casitas. Beautifully decorated and very cozy. Within walking distance to the university and local bars/restaurants on 4th avenue. Would definitely stay again and recommend to others.
Ross is the greater host I ever had. He is a meaningful and extremely detailed person and kindness with the guests, and he clearly takes care of the Casitas, so you will find the place very nice and tidy. You will find many suggestion with things to go in Tucson and you should keep in mind. Mercedes and I appreciate all his effort to making us feel like at home, and we will miss so much our little chats and the great time we spent at the East Casita.
Thank you, Ross!
Ross was very accomodating and friendly. Our stay was seamless and easy. We loved being so close to 4th ave and downtown.
Really cute and comfortable place, great value!
-bikes need tuneup/maintenance
-shower pressure is weak
If you've ever wanted to experience Tucson in a vintage casita, this is it. We loved the location, the comfort, the privacy and the helpful host.
A two week business trip brought me to Tucson, buying product at the 2014 Rock and Gem Show and I must say that the best Gem I purchased was this beautiful Casita to stay in while I was there! It ment all my needs for a home away from home. Lovely decorated clean space that not only provided a great wee kitchen to create in but at days end there awaited a very confortable bed, which I greately appreciated. Being centrally located made my travels very easy to all locations, Ross and his wife have put an incredible amount ot thoughtfulness and time into each Casita as well as the magnificant court yard. Looking forward to my stay next year!

I have been teaching in the public school system here in Tucson for the past 28 years. My wife is also an educator at the University of Arizona. We have two amazing daughters, 15 and 13, who are the focus of our lives. We have been renting our guesthouse, Casita Emmalia, as a vacation rental for the past 8 years. We love meeting new people, building relationships, and welcoming return guests each winter season.
Over the past three years, we have been working hard to restore a historic Spanish colonial 4-plex near the University of Arizona. We have completely renovated the property inside and out and are very happy with the results. We now offer two fully furnished one bedroom casitas and two fully furnished 2 bedroom units on Airbnb. Check out our listings for Casitas Helena!
Since we have the summers free, we love to travel and explore new places.....especially places by water because we have so little in Arizona.
One of our favorite places to spend time is Bolinas, California.....great beaches and hiking....and so close to San Francisco, our favorite American city! We have also recently discovered Telluride, Colorado and have spent the past few New Years skiing and enjoying the beauty of the west slope of the Rocky Mountains.
