It is within walking distance of interesting shops (unique gifts, boutiques, spices, artisan oils & vinegars, florist), and several excellent restaurants (Thai, Chinese, Indian, French, Italian, Pizza, Wings, Artisan Bakery). Walk to convenience store, dry cleaners, bank, CVS and The Miriam Hospital.

Please no smoking in the house. A respect of me, my home and my neighbors is essential. I keep a clean, neat house which I will happily share and ask that you please pick up after yourself. ..ie hang wet towels on hooks provided and dispose of trash.
Pat is a great host, and everything was perfect. Pat's home is around the corner from a charming area of stores, restaurants, and a bakery that would make an entire trip worthwhile. Great bread! Only caution for anyone with knee or related problems is that there are 15 steps up to the second floor where the bedroom is located . We are 79 and 80 respectively and had no trouble with the stairs, and I assume that anyone with a physical problem climbing stairs would not choose to stay on the second floor of a home.
Thanks Pat for a warm reception and the little "extras" that made the stay very enjoyable.
Pat's home is 1.8 miles from the Brown University campus. We walked the distance without a problem. There is also a convenient bus that runs down to the campus on Thayer Ave -- a half block from Pat's street.
We had a great experience at Pat's home. She was incredibly kind, responsive, and very helpful with tips about how to navigate the area during our short stay in Providence. Her home, and our room, were impeccably clean and very comfortable. The neighborhood is charming, quiet, and well-located for those in town for university activities. In the morning we had a lovely spread of fresh fruits, pastries, and coffee waiting for us--and then enjoyed it all on a sunny backyard deck. Highly recommended!
This is my second visit to Pat's home and I am so happy to be able to stay with her again. I love the location (close to Hope Street's variety of shops and restaurants). I love the homey atmosphere that is provided from a comfortable bed to a perfect and easy breakfast with coffee. And, I believe Pat does a wonderful job of hosting her guests.
Pat is lovely. We felt welcome from the beginning to end. I took the large room, my friend took the second room. The rooms are very well appointed, comfortable, if anything a little nicer than the listing seems. Great towels! The neighborhood is a great one to stay in. Walk to several nice shops and restaurants. Easy parking and access to other parts of the city.
Breakfast was just right.
A great location and value, a wonderful person, more than comfortable accommodations. Would certainly go back.
Pat is one of the most amazing hosts I've ever met on Airbnb. Sleeping facilities are perfect, a private bathroom, safe neighborhood and closeness to the main city sightseeings makes this choice unbeatable. There're also many good places to eat right in the neighborhood.
My daughter and I had a very nice time getting to know Pat and stay in her home. She showed us around and made us feel quite welcome. The room was so comfortable and quiet. Unfortunately, due to a family emergency, we couldn't stay the entire time. Pat was very understanding and hopeful concerning the situation. I would definitely like to stay there, if the opportunity arises again. Thanks Pat! :)
About the Host, Pat
Spring is finally here . Flowers starting to sprout and bloom. A refreshing change from our snowy winter landscape! Switched to summer quilts but the down comforters are folded at the foot of the beds and will still feel comfy for another couple of weeks.
I'm not a lot of things. Not the coolest person around. Don't have tattoos or multiple piercings but there is wifi and always a cup of hot coffee or tea around....and usually a half-finished piece of art work or something cookin'. Happy to share or point you in the direction of something interesting to do. Plenty of good music around town. Exceptional restaurants, several just around the corner. Many new exhibits at the RISD Museum to check out. It's simple. Location, location, location in a great neighborhood....and nice people!!!
